Cabin vacations don't get much better than this. A secluded getaway to a mountain cabin sitting on the summit of Peckerwood Knob. The Sunrise Cabin is a two story A-frame that offers incredible views of the Kiamichi Mountains from both inside and outside the cabin.
The east side of the cabin's living room is all glass, two stories up, and gives a great view of the sun rising over the mountain panorama, mountain after mountain, folding in on each other in the distance.The other side of the living room is a large rock fireplace, with a two story chimney. Two double reclining leather sofas provide plenty of comfortable seating, while you enjoy each other, the view and the fire.

Built as private vacation homes, Peckerwood Knob Cabins are clean, spacious, and secluded. Each cabin has a fireplace, a barbecue grill, a large deck, central heat and air, and a great view. Kitchens are equipped with a range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, flatware, cookware, and utensils.
ATV or hike our fabulous trails, kayak the Mountain Fork River nearby, or explore the Talimena Scenic National Byway. Peckerwood Knob Cabins affords endless opportunities for ATVs, mountain biking and hiking. You can explore public lands free for miles and miles. And miles. The ATV trailhead is located just one mile from Peckerwood Knob Cabins.
The Talimena National Scenic Byway, a breathtaking 54-mile route in southeast Oklahoma, is known for its breath-taking panoramic vistas and spectacular fall foliage. The two-lane road features hiking trails scattered along the way beginning at various points along its stretch and 22 scenic vista pull-outs.

We just got back from staying in sunset cabin for 3 nights. If you want to get away from it all, relax, and take in the beauty of the area, then I highly recommend this cabin or sunset cabin. They are both beautiful and comfortable. They are dog friendly, yet the cabin was pristine. We enjoyed driving the Talimena Trail and walking some of the trails. Take your food, some games, lots of books, and enjoy nature at its finest right here!

The cabins are located just off of the highway on a well maintained dirt road. Upon arrival you will notice your cabin essentially has its own private scenic outlook similar to the Tahlimena Scenic HWY. Surrounded by trees with a great view make this a unique stay. Outside you will also find a large deck and a outdoor picnic area with a fire pit, charcoal grill, and a hammock.
Inside the sunrise cabin you will find a very clean and well maintained two bedroom living area. The rooms are spacious and doesn’t feel cramped at all. The living room has two large couches with recliners nestled around

We were blessed to stay at the Sunrise Cabin. We were greeted with a welcoming and warm feeling of "home". Everything so clean, warm, inviting, and well thought out. It was as if it were all done just for us. Very quiet and secluded, great views, and complete peace. Will definitely be staying again in the future!

We were able to stay at the gorgeous Sunrise cabin for New Year's Eve! It became our home away from home.
You walk into a cute and cozy cabin that has been well maintained! It is very clean. You can really tell that it is taken care of. There are 2 cute bedrooms! Perfect for a family of 4, or 2 couples! We stayed in the bedroom upstairs. It is a loft with a gorgeous view to your left and right! There's a balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee. No matter where you are, you have an amazing view in this cabin.

My husband, sister, & brother-in-law spent an amazing long weekend getaway at the Sunrise Cabin at Peckerwood Knob. It was the perfect getaway. The views were amazing and the cabin was awesome. It was completely stocked with all the at home comforts minus all the at home distractions. We cooked and never needed any utensil or kitchen item that was not there in the cabinets. The rooms were great and the beds and bathrooms were equally fantastic. We enjoyed the fourth out on the patio watching fireworks and riding side by sides from Three Sticks during the day. Thank you Patrice for being flexible

My son and I stayed at Sunset Cabin 12/29/2014. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a spectacular view to the west down into the valley. Sunset from the deck was inspiring and the stars at night were just awesome. Very quiet getaway; really appreciated that the cabin did not have a TV. Lots of games made for an enjoyable evening. We would definitely consider coming back. Highly recommended.
