My experience with Dr. Paul Thomas and the Plum Health team as a student was extremely positive. I feel that everyone on the team genuinely cares about their patient’s longterm health.
Dr. Paul is not only a competent and compassionate physician, but also someone who will advocate for your health. He is kind, and he is patient. He gives his sincere and undivided attention to those he takes care of and ensures that all of his patient’s concerns are thoroughly addressed.
Would I entrust my mother’s care with this doctor? I often use this as a final litmus test to assess a doctor’s quality

When I worked at a medical student for a month at Plum Health, I saw first hand all the care, dedication, and work Dr. Thomas and the entire PH team does for their patients, both during patient visits and beyond. Dr. Thomas really exemplifies direct primary care. Patients are able to contact him directly with health concerns, through phone, email, or text. He is very attentive to all his patients, contacting them himself to provide updates and guidance after testing or exam results. My experiencing with Plum Healthcare was truly one if own. After shadowing Dr. Paul and following him on rounds, I observed how Dr. Paul takes the time to address a patients concerns to a great extent. At Plum Health DPC, you are truly building a close relationship with your doctor, and they greet you at the door with a smile every time. I've personally seen Dr. Thomas wait on the line for over an hour to advocate for his patient.

Absolutely amazing service! The way that Dr.Paul and staff runs Plum Health is a model that everyone in the health care field should follow. I no longer have to wait weeks for a simple check up or pay outrageous prices for simple medicines. Everybody is nice and friendly and Dr. Paul and Chris take my concerns seriously. In the past I’ve had my medical concerns written off because it wasn’t “anything to worry about.” by other doctors. I do recommend that everyone sign up for this service, it’s very affordable. And the staff will do everything in their power to make sure you’re satisfied

Dr. Thomas, Dr. Orlich, Dr. Rabaut and the entire staff at Plum Health DPC genuinely care about their patients and go the extra mile. I had the opportunity to work with them as a medical student and my experience there taught me invaluable lessons about patient advocacy and empathy.

Can't say enough great things about Dr. Leslie Rabaut! She answered all my questions thoroughly, and I really feel like she personally cared about my wellbeing.

I've had experiences at other clinics in the past where the doctors are so busy, you feel like you're just a number or a chore to get through. This was 100% not the case with Dr. Rabaut.

I cannot comment on Dr. Thomas from the perspective of a patient - I sought his advice about the Direct Primary Care business model. He generously made time to chat with me and answered my questions, and his knowledge on the DPC model were very insightful.

I've been a patient at Plum Health more or less since the beginning-- decided to keep it whether I had or didn't have decent health insurance through work or whatever. The model is affordable ($600 per year, compared to $2800-3500 per year for insurance that I never use), and it also allows me to get affordable, basic medications and testing, if needed, with a super fast turnaround (2-4 days from scheduling appointment to getting lab results, or 1-2 days to get basic prescription medicines). Highly professional, no-nonsense, thoughtful approach to primary care.

Excellent physicians who go above and beyond for their patients. They're accessible by phone, text, email, and it's usually possible to get same-day appointments. They take their time with each patient and really get to know everybody, even to the extent of sending personalized birthday wishes! I can't recommend Plum Health enough if you're looking for a primary care physician. Dr. Paul and Dr. Raquel are amazing!

I have been a patient at Plum for a little under one year now. Since the moment I was greeted at the door by Chris, I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Changing doctors can sometimes be scary because you hope they have your best interest at heart, but sometimes that doesn't always end up being true. That is not the case with Plum Health. I really enjoyed chatting with her. She wasn't rushing which is a very nice change of pace compared to a regular pcp. I love the simplicity of the direct primary care model. It was my first visit and I'll be back for sure!

Dr. Raquel is phenomenal and this practice is the best I have ever been to. I came here after having a difficult time navigating my health care after giving birth-- having a lot of needs postpartum that felt like they weren't taken seriously by other doctors. Dr. Raquel was the first person to take me seriously and I didn't have to wait months to see her like my former doctors. She put me on a path towards healing and was always so responsive and flexible. Exactly what you want out of a PCP.

If I could give a Golden Star to this Doctor I would! There is a reason he is recognized consistently in Detroit! Dr. Thomas is shaking the healthcare industry to its core! Going back to what it's really about "US" the patients! Providing affordable, attainable, convenient and caring health care to those who I call "in-betweeners" the people that make too much for assistance and not enough to make ends meat!
