It has always been about family. 1953 was the beginning point for Otten Bros. Nursery & Landscaping and the three brothers, Bert, Joe and Leonard, who founded this family business. Raised on a farm near Buffalo, Minnesota, the founding Otten brothers were three out of a family of fourteen children.
Each brother brought his own unique skill set to the newly created business. Nursery stock production and planting, carpentry, masonry, excavating and business management were the varied talents the brothers brought to the company and used as the cornerstones in the creation of the Otten Bros. We purchase two of the nicest beautiful Black Hills Spruce from Erick at Otten Bros in along Lake. Erick followed through calling us when they were available.
He his super knowledgeable pleasant and totally customer oriented!
Two very knowledgeable planting guys installed the two Spruce where we had two damaged trees thst needed replacing!
They professionally removed the old stumps with a Bob cat after placing plywood sheets on the grass to prevent grass damage.
They removed the surrounding plants and reinstalled them so you would never know there had been trees freshly planted there!

Customer service at the counter boxed up my plants to one box. Took my cart. Checked me out. All good right? But I have my arm in a sling because of Rotator Cuff surgery. She offered to help after i struggled to get the box in my good arm. I said at my car I would need help and she never came out. She continued to chat with another employee who showed up while i was trying to pick up my plants. Judt common courtesy or sensible thinking would have been great. Another customer came to my aid in the parking lot.

Came here pretty consistently for mulch, shrubs, and seed. Really nice guys in the loading area.
Couple of years ago got a yard of screened soil. When putting it down there were a half dozen pieces of broken glass (from bottles).
Brought in to the glass and asked for my $30 back. They argued about it. Really?
Had to grab seed today and brought my daughter. Always prefer local vs big box. Final straw was this sign: “We are no longer able to allow children under the age of 16 in the store...”
Should read: We no longer want to allow children under the age of 16 in the store.

Had a very disappointing experience today. A mom and child entered the store before us just fine (must be friends of the workers or something) when I came through door with my dad and daughter we got yelled at before we could even read the sign that my daughter wasn't allowed in. But why the other family even after I mentioned it to them they didn't seem to care. Not to mention my daughter cried all the way home because she didn't understand why the one girlcould go in bit not her.
I think if your not letting kids in there should be a sign outside the building stating that so you
