Here at Barnette's engine, we build both Domestic and Import engines and perform Automotive Machine work. We also carry a vast inventory of Remanufactured and new Internal Engine parts. Barnette's Engines has been in business since 1994. We have more than 100 years of combined experience in the engine rebuilding industry. Our Engine Assembly Specialist has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. The owner and founder of Barnette's Machine Shop has been in the engine rebuilding and remanufacturing industry for more than 30 years.
Every engine is thoroughly cleaned. This is probably the most important job in the engine rebuilding process. Any experienced engine builder/machinist will tell you, starting an engine with dirt will lead to premature engine failure. After the initial cleaning, all blocks are checked for cracks. All bolt holes are checked for thread wear and repaired if needed.
From beginning to end my experience has been nothing but pleasant and reassuring, for which I am especially grateful because of the circumstances endured prior to contacting them. Our prices include shipping anywhere in the continental United States; this does not include Hawaii and Alaska. We will ship, free of charge, to the carrier's freight dock and/or any licensed place of business that is capable of unloading the engine.

BRE LIMITED WARRANTY: Subject to the following terms and conditions: Barnette's remanufactured engines (hereafter referred to as "BRE") warrants to the original purchaser that the engine sold by BRE shall be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and with periodical maintenance as set forth by the original manufacturer.

Very friendly and helpful people , I only had them clean , hone , install cam bearings and polish crank , in a Ls- LY6 block, they did a great job and confirmed my measurements. I finally finished my build and have over 3000 miles on it and it runs great. Thanks to everyone at barnettes for their help. A+ service

I paid $2,300 for a "remanufactured" engine that was junk from day one. Their warranty is a joke. The engine ran a total of 1100 miles. Then, If I want to spend another $2000 to have the engine pulled out and shipped back to them, they "might" fix it and they "might" reimburse me $500. You have to see their shop to believe it. Think scrap yard. I wish I would have just lit a pile of cash on fire, it would have been less trouble and accomplished as much!!!!!!

Dan, Bridgett, and Company are terrific -- they did an outstanding job building a 6.0L Powerstroke long block for me just recently including ARP studs, Powermaxx aluminum heads. Their attention to detail and knowledge of these diesel engines is excellent. Shop turnaround is fast and they deliver at the time/date requested. This is a family run business and they are courteous, professional, easy to talk to and deal with --- real pros and I have five other projects heading their way soon.

Dealing with Barnette's company, has been an extremely pleasurable experience since my first call to them. I was looking for a Ford 6.0L reman to replace my 6.0L which was a no-start with needle bearings dispersed within the block.
This was a toss-up between Blackwater, Barnette's or a long distance company like KDH, Asheville, JDM and so forth. I felt more comfortable with BRE and Blackwater never returned my calls which was par for their reviews.
I spoke with Mr. Barnette as well his daughter on multiple occasions to coordinate delivery and core pick-up when the time came. His company was gracious

They were super friendly and knew their stuff. They gave me a tour of the warehouse cuz I wanted to see what they use to rebuild the engines and how they look. They was happy to do so and I like what I saw. Their engines I had a great price and they drop them off. They also will come back and pick the old one up that is the core I can go 30 days. What more could you ask for. If I needed another engine I WILL be going back to them.

As a local shop owner I just want to say that Barnetts is the best engine builder I've ever used.
Danny is so nice and knowledgeable about what he does. As well as Bridgett, she makes it a point to go above and beyond for her customers. It is nice to call and know exactly what is going on every step of the way. I have never had any issues with the engines I have installed from them. Even if I need a little help with a problem I have created they take the time to try and assist me with whatever the issue may be.
I won't buy from anyone else cause no one else has this level of quality or customer

The staff at Barnette's are friendly and down to earth. They are the kind of people you wanna run in to when your in unfamiliar territory....Like replacing the engine in your truck , and having to spend your savings to get it back in the road. They started building my engine when I placed a down payment and when it was finished they called me and let me know.
