Snow city CafƩ is well reviewed, but I was very disappointed. I understand that the era of Covid has made a lot of things difficult, but the wait time was excruciating. I called ahead, they told me that my table was ready, and then I waited another 40 minutes. Apparently they had coffee available there to drink while waiting, but nobody told me. The staff was friendly enough, but some seemed ill trained, and everyone was rushed and haggard.
The food was decent, but no better than any greasy spoon. The omelette seemed like more of a scramble, and the block of hashbrowns was unappealing. The coffee

The spot is quaint. Incredibly busy, but worth the wait. They also have cute merch! Which is always a bonus. We stopped in for lunch and the food is fresh. They also cater to gluten free & have decent substitutes available for their lattes. It's in a nice area to come hang out in for a bit. Prices are fair and plates are filled. Worth checking out. Owned by the same people as Spenards & South Street Bistro, also worth a visit. All have slightly diff menus & different atmospheres with different hours. All are equally good.

Snow City Cafe has amazing food! First time in Anchorage and decided to give it a try. We came on twice and had the Tundra Scramble with amazing reindeer sausage, and another day we had the Avocado toast and an egg Benedict. Everything was delicious and accommodating our gluten free allergies! Definitely highly recommended for you foodies!!!

Went for a late breakfast, but it turned into a brunch. The cafe was packed (to be expected on a Sunday), so we had a 45 minute wait. It wasn't a big deal for us because we took the time to walk the blocks surrounding. This is our first trip to Anchorage and we assumed that many places would be closed for the winter season and expected longer wait times for restaurants that were open.
The hosts at the front were friendly and sat people very quickly-moving to the next in line if someone didn't come once their name was called several times. When we were sat, our waitress came quickly

Typical style diner in Anchorage. Showed up at 1130 on a Tuesday and there was a 20 minute wait so I figured the Yelp reviews were right. Had the soup and grilled cheese combo which comes with a green salad as well. Tomato soups was rich, thick, creamy and pesto drizzle. Simply delicious. Grilled cheese was on sour dough, a full sandwich, and the ideal combo mate. The salad was good size and needless to say I had no room for one of the sweets. Service was excellent. Already thinking I may come back in the morning for breakfast.

Great breakfast!
When I'm home my breakfast is coffee but when traveling for some reason I love to start my day with a good breakfast. Snow City Cafe made my day.
We had an early business meeting at Snow City and it worked out well. We were quickly sat at a big enough table so we could spread out laptops and tables while yacking away on topics that mattered.
Food was good, service good enough.

This place was paaaaacked on a weekday during a slow season and for a good reason. We were given a good wait time of 35mins but we ended up getting a table within 20mins.
I got the Deadliest Catch Benedict and their famous Snow City Mocha with whipped cream and caramel. The wait was toooootally worth it. This place is a MUST do if you are visiting Anchorage. Don't let the wait time fool you because once you get the table, the service was actually super fast. Even with all their excellent presentation, we kept getting our orders much faster than we expected. We had a tour planned and were unsure

About a 15 minute wait for a table at 10:30a on a Tuesday. Best mocha I've had in Alaska so far but the food was just okay. They were out of crab meat so I couldn't try the crabby omelet and the kodiak benedict (with crab cakes) was kind of cold - passable but nothing special. 4 stars though because the service is great, the coffee is even better and the place is super cute. Just wish the food was a bit better.

If I could give a restaurant 6 stars they would earn it, from the warm greeting as I arrived, the over the top amazing customer service and of course the food. It was hard to decide looking at the menu what to get. I ended up getting the crabby omelets. Big fluffy eggs stuffed with snow crab and provolone. The hash brown side was great, a crispy outside with soft hash inside. They have perfected the hash! And I asked to hold the bread so they brought me a delicious fruit plate with big chunky slices of cantaloupe, pineapple, and grapes. This was the highlight of my Anchorage morning meals!

After my first visit to Snow City 12 years ago, I returned today. Nothing has changed. Same great coffee, service, food and ambiance. I was very happy when I entered the front door to the experience I remembered. Reindeer Sausage, a must. Just enough spice and flavor to make the Benny tremendous.
Don't want the huge cinnamon roll have the mini.
I was rescheduled to fly into Anchorage and I will go back here tomorrow morning because I don't know when I will be back next.

Really enjoyed the breakfast at Snow City. Go early as there may be a wait. Well worth it though. Started with a cinnamon roll which was fantastic. Then had the classic eggs Benedict. Great classic hollandaise. The hash browns were also a nice treat. Would highly recommend this place for breakfast if in Anchorage.

If you're coming early - come early! We arrived right at 6:50 for an 0700 opening and were about 75th in line.
We were able to grab 2 bar counter seats and had great service from Leanne.
I ordered the Kodaik Benedict with king crab cakes and homemade hollandaise- super gourmet breakfast.
Coffee - bold and on-point.
Once seated - food wait was about 30 minutes.
Great (but busy) visit!

Very busy, good sign. We sat at the bar, to for go the wait. Folks we're kind enough to scoot over one seat, to make room for the wife and I. We were served right away, Lauren C. was our server. W ordered breakfast crab omelette with a side of reindeer sausage. The omelettes were the bomb. I have to guess at them being fresh, found just a wee bit of shell in there. Food came out quickly. Decently clean. Bathrooms well maintained.

Spent 26 hrs in Anchorage and came here for breakfast. Even though there was a wait (weekend) we got their tasty espresso drinks to pass the time. Once seated we got great service and the best local cuisine. We had 3egg crab omelet, eggs Benedict with reindeer sausage, homemade cinnamon roll, and it all came with perfectly fried hash browns and fresh fruit slices. Each dish was a flavor fest, plentiful and made from scratch.

Everything was good! It was 1:30 and there were lines, but I was solo so I grabbed a seat at the bar. My waitress was awesome and recommend a few things and without a second thought she told me what she thinks are the best things on the menu and I ordered one of them and I did not regret it! Spicy burger with jalapeƱos, black beans, avocado and a bit more... the flavors were AMAZING. The quality of their product was amazing.. the food temperature was still hot when I was done... not sure how that was the case but I'm looking forward to the leftovers...

This was my second time coming in. This time I tried the deadliest catch Benedict. It was really really good. The salmon one was definitely my favorite of the two. I love their hash browns. They are cooked perfectly.
The service is very friendly. I don't come to Anchorage often but when I do I try to come into Snow City Cafe.
My friend that I came in with loves their jelly so much that she bought some to go. You can buy it frozen.
If you don't get there early expect a wait. It is a very popular place. But well worth the wait.
