We built a working relationship with each other managing separate studios for The Picture People. In 2011, Picture People decided to close all of the studios in the triangle and we decided to open our own studio. We run a studio in north Durham, NC that specializes in Children and family photography.
We also provide photography services to schools and youth sports programs throughout the triangle area. Our typical session runs about $500, including session fees, prints and products. We typically book no more than 2 sessions per day to make sure that you have our full attention and are not rushed.

Services
We have redesigned our website and our shopping cart this season. We have had lots of feedback about the online shopping cart being too complicated and it taking new users a long time to get comfortable with it. The new cart is much simpler and easier to use and navigate. Unfortunately, in order to get this simplified experience we had to eliminate add-ons to the packages.

Our family had a great experience with our photo session this summer. Our 2 year old grandchild was so active, they were very professional and understanding, Jen even played with her and got her to participate in a few shots. Our pictures came out unbelievably beautiful. They are making great additions to our home and keepsakes for our family and friends. Highly recommend.

We had a family photo shoot with them today and they are simply wonderful! They were nice, funny, and awesome at that their job. We all felt so comfortable with them and didn’t even want it to end! I haven’t even seen the pics yet but I know they will be beautiful because I am just that confident in their skills. If you need a photographer, choose J and S Photography!!!

J & S Photography provided excellent service and managed to get the first pictures that didn't upset my son, who is 3 and easily disturbed by strangers and generally doesn't take very good photos. She captured his smile and got him to pose! I couldn't be happier with the service during and after the photos were taken. I got a gift card and had a bit of trouble using it on the website so I emailed and it was taken care of very quickly!

J and S Photography was my kid's preschool photographer for five years, and their photos were always the best - multiple awesome poses to choose from online within a week of picture day, easy online ordering, and digital images delivered to your email right away. I'm having my first elementary school photo experience with a larger company right now, and it has really solidified how spoiled I have been working with J and S. Love them!

Jenn and Steve have great studio, but e en more so, they team up to provide a great exocrine for your portrait session. I have been taking my daughter to them for years (from age 5 to 15)or Santa photos and have been amazed at the great shots they take. More recently, I have seen them work with babies and toddlers. They rarely, if ever, fail to get a good picture from a tough group. You will be thrilled you booked with them.

They do amazing school pictures that we have had the fortune of working with them for 7 years now, BUT by far their best offering are the Pictures with Santa. You get ~10 minute of individual time with the 'Big Guy' where numerous pictures are taken and wonderful interaction is had with our daughters. The sessions happen in November so the pictures are ready just in time to order our annual Christmas Cards. We have done Pictures with Santa the last 5 years now and this is a tradition we would not miss for anything. Love Love Love J&S Photo! Keep

Jen and Steve are awesome! We have been doing Christmas & Santa photos with them for about 8 years. My daughter is now 15 and the poses have photo sessions have grown along with her. We always wonderfully creative poses and great photos. Jen has put together some amazing Christmas cards for me incorporating different poses and our annual news updates. They are both very responsive to emails 24x7 and just plain talented. highest quality work. I look forward to doing senior year portraits with them.

Seriously the best photography experience I've ever had. We did a family portrait session and they were great...especially with our kids. Communication with Jen was like talking to a family friend, which definitely helped in building trust and made our session so comfortable. Steve is super funny and brought out all of our best smiles. Together they're an amazing team. Words really cannot express how happy I am. We'll definitely use them again.

J&S is great! My children's preschool uses them and we always get great quality pictures. This last time, my child didn't smile so I contacted Jen and she gladly squeezed us in to recapture my child's smile. I'm glad I did because she got amazing pictures. The quality of the print is nice and professional. The price might be higher than if you go to Walmart but you cannot get the quality and professionalism as you would get through J&S.
