Each Engineering Inspector at Southeast Structural specializes in the application of Structural Engineering to the field of Residential Design and Construction. We also ensure that advice is based on technical data, code regulations, and standards of practice. We follow a Code of Ethics and are subject to oversight by the Alabama Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Visual evaluations of the accessible components of the home or building's structural system with a stamped report. Our designs ensure all areas of concern are addressed and can be properly repaired as required. We provide Structural Engineering Inspections with the intent of providing State Certifications for official use.

I cannot recommend Southeast Structural (and Michael) enough. I'm a first-time home buyer, moving back to the States after military service overseas for nearly two decades. As I am still overseas, finishing up the final details of my move, I needed someone I could trust to do a thorough assessment of some possible structural issues on my new house that presented themselves in the home inspection. We are so thankful for Michael. We had some concerns about a house we just purchased and he came out and answered every question we had. He also walked throughout the entire house, pointed out things we hadn’t noticed, and laid to rest any concerns we had that were non-issues. Had some minor concerns regarding a house we were thinking about buying, and the real estate company we were using as well as some inspectors in the area reccomended talking to Mike at Southeast Structural.
Mike was able to come out the very next day and do a walk through of the property with me and answer every single question I had. A super nice, honest man with a great personality. Was tremendous to work with, and we will definitely be using Mike and Southeast Structural again in the future for any sturctural engineering needs in our new home.

Michael arrived as scheduled, and his pleasant, friendly demeanor immediately put me at ease regarding the service I needed him to perform. I would recommend Michael Howerton of SE Structural to anyone having structural concerns. Not only was he prompt-he is a very knowledgeable, pleasant, courteous professional.
