We recognize that taking care of your eyes is an important part of your overall health. True Eye Care is committed to the health of our patients eyes; we have taken great care to create an environment that is comfortable, our doctor is trained well in vision care and eye health, and our patients routinely are impressed with our ability to provide above average care.
At True Eye Care, we provide care for all ages. We are here for your medical emergencies, specialty contact lens fits, chronic eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. In addition to caring for any eye condition, we also have a diverse optical with independent, quality, stylish frames for the entire family.
While the office is open Monday-Saturday, Dr. Lohmeyer currently schedules for Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. You are welcome to come to the clinic during all open hours to collect paperwork, see our extensive eyewear selection, or to get questions answered. 2. I found True Eye Care by chance. I needed an immediate eye exam because my glasses were broken and I was out of contacts. After calling around a few places in downtown, I was able to get a next-day appointment here! I was a bit wary because they had availability when others didn't, but my experience was wonderful. Kelly at the front desk was very friendly as I figured out my eye vision insurance. Dr. Lohmeyer went at my pace in explaining my images, and I didn't feel at all rushed. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the opticians that helped me choose my frames and took my measurements, but

Came in this week and had a great visit. Plenty to appreciate about this practice: Lots of appointment availability, nice, clean office, friendly staff, and a convenient location. Dr. Nate was thorough and not at all in a rush. I also thought his eye pressure tool that doesn't puff air was super interesting!

Dr. Lohmeyer’s office is truly state of the art and absolutely gorgeous! I came here to have my dental loupes repaired, which I thought would take days. Norma gave me a warm welcome and then quickly began working on my loupes. Within 10 minutes she had finished and my loupes were good as new! While I was waiting I got to meet Dr. Lohmeyer, he is very kind and down to earth. You can tell he really takes pride in having the most up-to-date equipment to provide the best care for his patients. I can’t wait to transfer my care to True Eye Care when I’m due for my next exam!

Couldn't remember who I went to for eye care last since it's been so long, so this was a fairly random pick. I'm so glad to have met Dr. Lohmeyer and his team. I was excited that he was thorough and, at least from my perspective, seemed to care about my tiny little problems. He explained things to me that hadn't been explained in the past and when I called a week later to ask a question, he took the time to answer and call me back with more information. I genuinely appreciate this doctor.

Great staff and facility! I felt warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for during my visit. The exam was thorough and used a variety of technology to evaluate my vision. Nate was patient and friendly in answering all my questions and took lots of time to walk me through my concerns. I don't have great vision benefits from my health insurance provider, so my exam was not inexpensive. However I was given a heads up about costs by Norma whose due diligence in dealing with insurance was impressive. I would highly recommend True Eye!

I found True Eye Care through my insurance directory and they simply put every previous office I have visited to shame. The entire staff is amazing and the office is very inviting.
I greatly appreciated that their tech and equipment is highly up-to-date and that I did not have to get my eyes uncomfortably dilated. Dr. Lohmeyer is very friendly and easy to talk to. He thoroughly explained the keys to good eye health and showed me a very in-depth imaging of my eye anatomy. I will be going to this office for my yearly exams for as long as they are around.
