Our office is located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and our patients come to us from all corners of the metro Denver community and beyond. Our Opthalmologists are medical doctors specializing in eye and vision care. We are trained to perform eye exams, diagnose and treat disease, prescribe medications and perform eye surgery. We write prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses too. In truth, we are passionate about eye health. More than four decades of practice hasn't dampened our enthusiasm one bit.
Recognizing that eyes change over time, our office understands what it means to maintain your eyes. Growing up we know that many people only went to the eye doctor if there was a dramatic change or if they were experiencing problems with their vision.
However, many eye diseases and problems can be prevented with annual eye exams - it is important to visit a professional yearly because many common eye diseases and have very few or do not show any warning signs until they have caused damage.

The clouding of the normally clear eye lens can be likened to looking through a fogged up window. What once appeared white becomes yellowed. Poor night vision, double vision and even sensitivity to light are cataract symptoms too. By age 80, more than half of Americans either have a cataract or have had cataract surgery, according to the National Eye Institute, the governmental authority dedicated to research human visual diseases and disorders.
This results in lost vision starting at the periphery (outside) which spreads to the central vision. More than 2.2 million Americans have been diagnosed with glaucoma, and approximately 2 million Americans are undiagnosed. The most common type of glaucoma in older patients is open-angle. It's very important to have annual eye exams, because there are not any symptoms during the early stages of glaucoma.

I have been seeing Dr. Campbell since I moved to Colorado about 10 years ago and I truly can't say enough good things about him. I have been extremely near-sighted for most of my life. A little over a year ago, I made the life changing decision to have PRK surgery with Dr. Campbell. Before the surgery, my contact prescription was approximately -13.0 in both eyes. I honestly thought I would always need some level of correction because of the severity of my near-sightedness and my astigmatism. You can imagine my delight that, at age 42, I no longer use contacts or glasses (even for reading

I had cataract surgery and I was supposed to get a monovision lens
so that I could see close with my left eye. My right eye already had cataract surery for far away vision. Dr. Allen purposely did not optimize my left eye for near vision but instead told me he had put in a lens that was inbetween near and far. Now my near and far vision is blurry. I will need glasses for the rest of my life. I was told that the surgery can't be redone. I should have been told before the surgery that a monovision lens would not be used that would correct my near vision . I feel like I was treated like a dummy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Campbell for over 25 years. This week I had one eye repaired for cataracts and my vision improved immediately. This is no surprise. Dr. Campbell is a phenomenal surgeon. He covers all the bases and provides a wealth of information to the patient. One of the kindest gentlemen I have ever met, he and his staff are professional and thorough. I can't wait to get my other eye repaired next week.

This office is AMAZING. Let me start off by saying my father has gone there since he was a child! As soon as we realized I would need to have vision correction, I started to see Dr. Campbell as well. We both have very bad eyesight. They have always gone above and beyond to help both of us out, worked with us on payments, and done everything they can to bill our insurance correctly so we pay as little out of pocket as possible. I am 23 and always waiting until the last minute to make appointments ( like prescription is expired too long) and Ulta(spelling) has done EVERYTHING she can to help me out
