Portside Arts Center
Portside Arts Center provides a creative and nurturing environment that empowers the artists of tomorrow and creates lifelong patrons of the arts. Through dynamic visual arts programming, we encourage students to be globally-minded citizens and fearless artists. Portside has been my safe haven where I was able to blossom not only as an artist but in my academics as well.

I was seven years old when I first walked through Portside's doors. At the time, I had no idea that I would later consider the Portside to be my second home.

We have been sending our children to Portside for summer camps and the after school program for over three years. We've consistently found that the curriculum in Portside is incredibly beneficial in exposing our children to the arts while providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment.

I am constantly blown away by the material presented (stuff that I never learned about until high school, no less) and how the amazing staff keeps such a wide range of ages, interests, and abilities engaged.Portside has become a key part of our children's' education a true nexus in our community.- They started out in a virtually abandoned, beat up building.
Has been a supporter of the Portside Arts Center since February of 2010. Mr. Crowther has volunteered countless hours guiding Portside through the development of their strategic business plan. John also has donated multiple times towards our scholarship fund and towards our programs. We consider John to be one of our "angels" and we are so grateful to have him as an advocate of the Portside Arts Center.

Great place to bring your children as well as yourself. They offer a variety of classes for kids and adults. Help keep local businesses local.
I took my niece here for their great summer camp programs and after-school arts programs.

An Amazon after school option in the neighborhood. Kim and her team do a great job providing a nurturing after school environment where kids practice art. My son says the teachers are nice and help you do better and get better at art and stay focused on the thing they’re learning.

They have classes for everyone! From Arts & Crafts for the little ones to Upholstery, Stained Glass, Mosaics, Crocheting and Quilting. You can take full length class, usually 6-8 weeks, or arrange one day workshops for yourself and a group of friends.
