We generally cruise rain or shine. Both of our boats are covered and our passengers can get out of the rain. We may cancel a cruise if there is extreme whether; however, on average we have cancelled less than one cruise a year. In Philadelphia we can expect rain to be predicted at least 50% of the days we cruise.

This fun little boat offers a friendly crew, summertime oldies, and beautiful views of Philadelphia from the water. There isn't a bad seat anywhere aboard.

We went on the City Sky Light Cruise on the Delaware River last evening. All of the other people booked cancelled, but, us and they still ran the cruise and we had a private tour. Captain and Gwen were both very nice, attentive and personable. We loved it and would recommend!

It was a hot day in Philly so when we walked by a boat tour that was about to take off in 5 minutes we took the opportunity! The cost was $30 and we were able to pay when we boarded. The boat had basically no airflow so instead of cooling down we got even warmer. There are alcoholic drinks served but a Miller Light can was $6. The tour guide was not entertaining at all. I asked him why Philadelphia was called the city of brotherly love and he didn't even know. He speech was very uninteresting and he kept losing his train of thought. I understand that the shore of NJ is mostly industrial but

Had an awesome time on the Liberty boat. Rented for my wife's birthday and cruised around with a bunch of friends. Charlie was easy to work with as far as getting everything scheduled. On the day of our event, we had Captain Harry, who was awesome. Our mate/bartender Gwen was also great and kept everyone happy. Overall, great experience and will return.

I went out on the Patriot for an event hosted by the adjoining Seaport Museum. I don't think I could have picked a nicer day to be on the water. It was really nice, taking the river up to the Northeast and back. The music fit the atmosphere (chill House was on that day) and the bartender was a cool guy. I'd recommend this line for sure!

This was really a nice way to spend an evening, even though it couldn't have been colder the September day we went. Thankfully, I bundled up in my shawl, because the wind was whipping all around us.

Weather aside, the views on the water are spectacular. We did the Schuylkill Banks tour and I would say it's views were just as great as the Penn's Landing area. I'm a Philly native, so I know that area well, but it was just as nice to travel down to Bartram's Garden and back up the river, learning about some of the bridges and the buildings along the way. They had drinks

This trip is an iconic Philadelphia experience. The yachts are immaculate and Captain and crew are invested in your enjoyment. The ticket price is commensurate with the unique experience. I took my wife to the fireworks trip on July 2 and crushed it, this has got to be the best seat in the city to enjoy the show. Bar, music and bathroom onboard. This is a family run small business so vote with your dollars if you appreciate this kind of business. Could not have been better, keep up the exceptional work.

So you think you know Philadelphia? As a proud native of Philadelphia I always thought I was an expert. But the various routes of Patriot Harbor Lines will prove there's a whole part of Philadelphia that you don't really know, its waterways. I've taken cruises on the Delaware and Schuylkill, cruised right up to the SS United States and seen spots on the Schuylkill where kids dived in, braver than I ever was.

The boat is plenty large and there's a cash bar onboard. The staff is well informed and funny to boot.

Next season, I'm definitely up for the Walnut to Walnut cruise

On board bar ( that accepts Credit !!!!) and a staff that is very funny and polite. I boarded this vessel for a work related event. My boss chartered it private just for us making it that much better. The staff Was timely , informative , polite and funny. The ride was very sweet. I never realized how cool the river was before this ride. It's gross and dirty but you see cute turtles and little hiding spots perfect for solo venturing. I'd say it's great for a native or a tourist and anyone in between.

I loved this tour. We went on this boat (which to remind you serves alcohol). It was my boyfriend and I and an older couple. The tour lasted about an hour. The captain was pleasant, funny and knowledgeable. It was peaceful and relaxing. I was walking on the boat with no shoes on very clean, even the bathrooms. (2 men are on this boat, you know men and bathrooms, not the cleanest.) I had a great time and would definitely do it again!

We took the Philly by Boat tour yesterday with Captian Roy and Janelle and it was FANTASTIC. There were five of us, two couples and a toddler. My husband and I have lived in Philadelphia for 25 years, and we have never seen this view of Philadelphia. Lots of surprises, and a great view. A most amazing close look at the United States.

I love to be on the water, but there aren't many opportunities to do that in Philly. The Patriot is certainly answering a long-felt desire. Highly recommend. The crew gave a really informative, interesting tour, answering lots of questions. Captain Roy is third

Bought a groupon for my guy and I to see Philly from a different perspective ( have been 3 times since Dec).
These guys were awesome! I took the 2pm tour and there was maybe 10 people on the boat which made it comfortable for us ( and perhaps less profitable for them). BUT, although the waterfront is not as exciting as it could be (like in Boston) we learned a lot from our captain and he had a wonderful sense of humor!!). AND it was an amazingly beautiful day so what is better than being on the water for an hour??
I was a bit dismayed that folks who took the tour didn't tip out! I've

Did an 8pm Walnut to Walnut cruise with my husband on a week night. The group was small and laid back. Even though we're local, we hadn't seen things from that side and we learned some facts from the narration. It started out rainy but the boat was covered and once the rain let up they toweled off the benches. Drinks were available and credit was accepted. Afterwards we were able to relax in a hammock at Harbor Park and then we took an Uber back to the car. We'll be back for one of the daytime cruises.

I booked a patriot sunset cruise/wines of the revolution while my my wife and I typically book a sail boat cruise for our anniversary and the company that serviced philly recently moved. What a mistake. Too crowded. Too loud. Bad booze cruise. They had to stop for 15 minutes to service the boat in a marina by a gravel pit. It was so unromantic it was terrible. Captain comped us a drink and thought it would make it all better. Some creepy old guy reaches over and kisses my wife and I about popped him. Lousy experience. The wines were absolutely terrible. I've worked for vineyards and pouring

I've taken two of Patriot's tours. Last summer the "Walnut to Walnut" tour that goes all the way down the Schuylkill and up the Delaware, and more recently the Delaware River/harbor cruise, that begins and ends at Penn's Landing. Both were outstanding. The boat is pretty simple but comfortable, and this is a terrific way to look at Philadelphia from a different angle and learn about its history in a leisurely way (without fighting traffic or crowds!) The captain's narration seems to know absolutely everything about everything. You won't just hear about the past

We have now taken two of the tours patriot lines offered. We have had a great experience with both of them! The Delaware tour at 11 offers great views of the Philadelphia waterfront and historical insights on all of the ships along the way. The schyukll river tour is a great one way destination. You can take train or bus to the tour and end up back at walking distance from 30th street station! How perfect. I would recommend either. Captain Walt is a wealth of knowledge, very personable, and a great guy.

They do have drinks available, cash only.

Had a wonderful experience with Patriot Harbor Lines - or as they like to call it, "Philly By Boat." Took a tour on the Schuylkill River from Walnut Street at the Schuylkill Banks to Bartram's Garden - and then the same day a tour from Walnut Street - up to the Fairmount Waterworks and then back to the Delaware River - ending at Penn's Landing.

The boat was beautiful, the staff was really friendly and knowledgeable and the experience of seeing Philadelphia by boat (and not from an annoying duck boat) was extremely fun and eye-opening.

I definitely recommend this boat company
