Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center is searching for a new live-in Property Steward. This may be a couple or an individual (possibly retired) who will live on-site at Ruscombe Mansion rent-free (utilities included) in exchange for approximately 20 to 30 hours per week in services. Our ideal candidate is a 'people person', service-oriented and dedicated to the core values of our Ruscombe Community - love, peace, service and wellness for all.

We are looking for someone who understands the ideals of "stewardship"; who understands and supports the healing mission of our mental health and integrated health care professionals and will tend our two buildings and campus grounds with loving care. We couldn't be happier to announce the return of our popular Co-op Cafe after so many months of closure due to the pandemic.
Services
The Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center was founded here in 1984 by Executive Director Zohara Meyerhoff Hieronimus. Our center is situated on one acre of the original estate of the James W. Tyson family, one of Baltimore's famous Quaker abolitionist and philanthropic families. The Mansion (4801 Yellowood) was built in 1906 by the achitectural firm of Ellicott and Emmart.
It is our mission to provide a peaceful, comfortable setting to offer professional, complementary health options to the general public. The Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center is a multi-purpose neighborhood community center featuring programs in holistic healing, education and inspirational guidance.
In 1984, I founded the Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center in Baltimore, Maryland. It is one of the oldest and largest outpatient integrative and holistic health care facility of its kind in America, structured as a collective of private providers.

Since 1984, our two to three dozen providers have served thousands of people a year for both maintenance of health, recovery from acute illness and improved quality of life, helping clients overcome many chronic ailments.I have been interviewed on television, radio and news print media over the years about the vision I had when founding the center.
The Aquarian University of Maryland (AUM) was a flourishing school previously housed on the property that is used by the Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center today. On this website, we offer video lectures for our students to continue their education from the comfort of their own home. Approximately four new video lectures will be added per year.
From the Baltimore beltway, Interstate 695, take Exit 23, I-83 South. Proceed to Coldspring Lane Exit A & B (Exit 9), and bear west at the top of the ramp. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Tamarind Road. Follow up the hill, and take the first left onto Yellowwood Avenue. Wind around the curve, and watch for the Ruscombe Mansion about 1/3 mile down the road on the right.

I absolutely love this place. I highly recommend Dixie Mullineaux as your go to acupuncturist. Dixie has been my acupuncturist for almost 11 years. She has a world of wisdom and a keen eye for getting right to the matter. She has helped me in my transformation and awakening to be a healthier person.

I came to Ruscombe Mansion for a massage with Dennis Ossiander a few months ago. It was a great experience and I'm happy to have discovered such a wonderful place for wellness! The campus is a beautiful, very inviting and peaceful place. The massage with Dennis was excellent. He cares deeply about the full well-being of his clients and has the expertise to make insightful recommendations for day-to-day physical health. I came to a massage session with Dennis feeling a lot of physical tension - I was amazed at how thorough he was in understanding my individual needs in order to meet them completely

Today I needed a massage to relieve my tired muscles of stress and strain. Luckily I was able to hobble to my car and drive to Ruscombe Mansion for an hour of massage therapy with one of my favorite pair of healing hands in Baltimore - Betsey Gilbert. She has an amazing toolbox of massage modalities that she can pull out of her head straight to her hands to let the healing process begin. if you have something that is nagging you that Epsom salts and Ibruprofen can't fix then see Betsey. While her room is small, her heart is Big and she will try to get you up and smiling after 60 to 75 minutes
