He also specializes in the management of osteoarthritis, helping people maintain active lifestyles while avoiding joint replacement surgery for as long as possible. Dr. McShane has frequently been named one of Philadelphia Magazine's "Top Docs". He is known as a thoughtful and caring physician who strives to relieve pain and restore function in the least invasive ways possible.

Once again another great JOB!!
I get my knees drained by Dr McShane. The last time was 9 months ago. Every time I get them drained by him, there's absolutely no pain from start to finish. Amazing what a professional. I've seen other doctors and I'm usually back within 3 months. If anyone needs this service PLEASE call Dr McShane you will not regret it. Thanks!!

If the Hand of God ever developed a trigger finger, I would immediately refer Him to Dr. McShane.

I had my first visit w Dr. McShane on July 9th, 2020. It was by far the most caring, thorough experience I have encountered ~ both w the Doctor and his assistant, Rachael. They listened to every detail... And Dr. McShane gave such thoughtful detail and recommendations. I know his considerations were what is best for ME... not just a standard protocol. The best word I can attribute to my experience is ‘trustworthiness.’

The staff is great and I went to Dr McShane with really bad knee pain. His care and medical treatment was excellent! I'm pain free and started golfing.

I had my R carpal tunnel procedure done 6 mos. Ago by Dr. Mc Shane and returning to have my L done. Very good care...professional...attentive...interested in best outcome for the patient. Awesome minimally invasive needle procedure takes care of carpal tunnel with little down time. A shame it is not standard treatment and people still getting incisions or endoscopic surgery. This is less costly, less risk of infection, only a few days of recovery. I highly recommend!

This was the single worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. A friend recommended him to me. I cannot imagine what anyone giving him a positive review is thinking. Maybe he has a mood disorder and I hit him on a bad day? I have no idea. I will just say that I've never been treated with that kind of withering, dismissive disrespect before or since. He also had not one positive or useful piece of advice except to inform me that I will someday need a knee replacement, and when that will occur will entirely depend on whether I decide to be active or not. He also had his staff require me leave

I would highly recommend Dr. McShane. After being misdiagnosed by doctors at two other highly reputable Philadelphia sports medicine practices, Dr. McShane’s expertise, time, and attention led to a correct diagnosis and treatment plan. The staff is equally as attentive and helpful.
