Dr. Vinh Dang received his Doctor of Optometry with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2000, and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California at Irvine. He is board certified in therapeutic ocular medications and Laser Refractive Surgery co-management.
You may associate the need for an eye exam with replacing your eyeglasses or contacts. While it's important to see well, certain eye diseases can develop which do not adversely affect your vision in the early stages. Unlike the rest of your body, your eyes rarely hurt when something is wrong. During your examination we will prescribe the best corrective lenses for your individual needs.

My family and I have been patients for several years and always receive great service!!! The doctor's and staff are very courteous and professional. During a time of so much uncertainty, you can be certain that they practice safe protocols to ensure clients are protected. Doctor's and staff wear mask, and before you try on glasses the glasses are wipe clean.
They have a great selection of glasses, lot's of beautiful designs to choose from!!!

Excellent experience here as a first timer. Quick and easy, no issue or hassle at all. Got my contact lenses in a week or less and because I'm so blind, they were able to get my insurance to fully cover the expense. Clean and modern inside, located in downtown Brea area near the movie theaters so parking can be difficult. Best option is to park in the lot behind the building. They add professionals and I appreciate the service I received by the doctor. She along with the staff was so nice, will def be a loyal customer and patient here as long as I live in the area.

Took my son here for his eye appointment to get contacts, and I was very impressed with the staff. Everyone was very helpful and extremely nice. The wait wasn't long at all ( like most places ). My son was in and out of there in less than an hour!! Great customer service and the place is very modern and clean!!! So happy I found this place on Yelp!

This is in a fabulous location, great atmosphere, selection and variety of frames also a plus. Everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful. Doctor showed me my eye scans and explained them so I'd understand. I felt welcome from start to finish. They clean everything which is comforting to me. I purchased glasses and received help with picking a frame, which is also important to me. I have trouble finding the right design for my face shape. I'm not sure what fits correctly from a design perspective. They handled it perfectly and didn't make me feel like a nuisance or that I was taking

My daughter broke my glasses this past Sunday and they were irreparable so I wanted to see an optometrist Monday so I could get an eye exam (it had been 2 years) and get new frames. My usual place is closed Mondays so I called visual effects and they were fully booked until the following week. About 5 minutes after I called they called back saying there was a cancellation and they could see me right away. I was blown away by how nice and courteous the staff is. I love this place. The staff whole staff is friendly, professional, and thorough. They run their business very efficiently, so it's effortless to get in and out with the confidence that my eyes are well cared for. They also have a great selection of frames, including sunglasses. Where do I start.. From my very first eye exam 10+ years ago at VIsual Effects, I knew this was a special place of business. Customer service is above and beyond from Diana once you walk through the door. She's exceptional at her job on every level. Dr, Dang and Dr. Nguyen are a husband and wife team and I can honestly say they both are very thorough and efficient. They take pride in their business and customer relations.

I've been going to visual effects for about two years now and I highly recommend their service for all your eye care needs. Dr. Nguyen is great and really explains any questions you may have and does an extensive exam of your eyes and how their health is. I literally used to live down the street from them but ended up moving away about 40 miles south but will probably continue to do my annual eye exams with their group. Plus Diana is great as well, she is super sweet and so helpful. There is a parking structure not too far from their location and it's free.

I'm so grateful for Visual Effects Optometry! I have had to wear glasses since the age of eleven and have always dreaded going for the unavoidable eye exam until now. New patient.I don't wear glasses . My job keeps me in front of the computer all day and now during quarantine we all have been spending more time on our screens. So I made an appointment
They took 4 exams/test before I saw Dr. Dang. The highlight was I got to see my eye ball in 3D ...part of it.
Dr Dang was so informative and explained what the exams revealed. I was very pleased visual effects .
Good news no need for glasses but Need to protect and take care of my eyes, he suggested some computer glasses to preserve my eye sight

My husband found Visual Effects Optometry about 3 years ago when our preschool aged twins needed glasses. Dr. Dang was very patient with our super shy kids. My husband and I have never been very loyal to our optometrist over the years because we were never able to find one we liked. Now my husband and I also get our annual eye exams at Visual Effects Optometry. I'm so glad we finally found an optometrist we can trust. Dr. Nguyen is also very good. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Visual Effects Optometry for your eye care needs.

I look forward every year to visiting Visual Effects. I can't say enough about the kind of care you receive from their receptionist to the Dr's. As an example, my Rx is middle of the road but my eyes are extremely dry so my contacts run a little more than the average amount. I am a stay at home Mom and they know that every penny counts. After getting home, I received a call from Daisy who said that she was thrilled because she found info on a rebate and had just put all of the info in the mail. Friendly and knowledgeable staff make this practice TOP NOTCH. I'm relatively new to the optometry world (I've only needed glasses for about two years now) but I've seen a few doctors and just not been happy with them. The 'big guys' (lenscrafters, etc) always seem to be missing that 'personal' feel that I find really important in a business, and especially in a medical practice. I've now been to Visual Effects three times and literally never waited in the lobby. You walk in, are immediately greeted by friendly staff with smiles and are shown to the exam room. Talk about service!
