Raleigh Charter High School
Raleigh Charter High School challenges college-bound students in a creative and supportive atmosphere to become knowledgeable, thoughtful, contributing citizens. Interested in applying to RCHS? We, of RCHS, intend to cultivate the understanding and practices that sustain individual self-determination and community self-government.

We have adopted the following principles in order to ensure that all who pass through our halls can imagine, create, and govern a more perfect world. Our 2021-22 goal is to raise $325,000. As a line item in our annual budget, the Phoenix Fund is critical to our day-to-day operations. At RCHS, we have always relied on caring and steadfast support from our community.
Services
In 2011, and after many contributions of time, talent and resources from our faculty, staff, parents and students, RCHS moved to its permanent home at 1307 Glenwood Avenue in the Glenwood-Brooklyn neighborhood of downtown Raleigh. From 1999 through 2011, Raleigh Charter High School was located in Historic Pilot Mill, an architecturally stunning set of buildings behind Peace College.
Raleigh Charter High School challenges college-bound students in a creative and supportive atmosphere to become knowledgeable, thoughtful, contributing citizens. Our students learn to be citizens in a challenging academic setting. We graduate citizens of the world by creating an interconnected learning environment that combines a demanding college-preparatory education with a curriculum that teaches and models citizenship skills.
Raleigh Charter High School is committed to the ongoing work of creating a diverse, equitable, and antiracist school. Raleigh Charter High School feels strongly that our school must take a clear stand in support of antiracism and equity. We join national protests in echoing that Black Lives Matter.
Individual results were emailed to parents of applicants. Parents can also view their child's lottery results and wait list status by logging into their Smart Choice/School Mint parent account at www. RCHSapplication.com. Students will be admitted off the wait list over the summer as spots open up.

Applicants must be highly qualified in their field and excited about challenging and supporting students to become knowledgeable, thoughtful, and contributing citizens.

Very caring faculty and staff! My 3 sons made some very close friendships and really loved the fact everyone was accepting of life choices.

I graduated RCHS in 2019. I can wholeheartedly say that I did not fully appreciate the teachers and staff at the school when I was there. They are genuinely the best and I'm truly grateful to have had my high school education amongst such amazing and talented mentors and peers.

They dont check on the boof rooms too much, but they do have toilets in them which is kinda gross and unsanitary. At least it promotes multitasking which is a valuable life skill. 9/10

Spicy memes, 11/10 would go to again. Only problem is too many cringy kids dabbing in the hallways and girls taking musical.ly's by their locker. Almost strangled myself with my gym bag strings. Sadly there are no pepes running around in the hallways.

Class of 2007. Attending Raleigh Charter High School was one of the greatest experiences of my life and a true blessing. Incredible teachers, great learning community, dedicated staff, and passionate parents have built and made this institution into one of the best in the country if not the world. Go Phoenix!
