Schemper's Ace Hardware

I inherited a Big Green Egg smoker / bbq from my father. It has got to be 20+ years old. I have been restoring it with new parts etc. In the process I have also been buying all kinds of accessories etc. I purchased almost everything from this store including a couple special orders. The staff was very helpful and called me promptly when my orders arrived. The other day, I realized that one of the parts I bought was not compatible with one of the accessories I was going to use that day. I called the store and they had exactly what I needed on hand. I picked up the kit and I was back in business

Can honestly say that after moving to Ripon in September 2020 the customer service, knowledgeable associates, well stocked shelves & the COVID safe shipping environment we have experienced at Schemper's ACE Hardware is over the top & best in class.

Oh a wim I wanted a Blackstone grill to cook a nice huge breakfast this morning... I arrived 20min before they opened and they where gracious enough to let me me instead of having to wait.

The prices are always great.... the service is impeccable.....

They have the best selection of big green egg, treager, yeti, and Blackstone i have seen anywhere on this area.

I highly suggest you taking the drive and support this store.

I received some exceptional customer service here today. After hearing of the nightmare I had with the Stockton (Ben Holt) Ace Hardware, Derrick made sure I had my Traeger Ironwood 885 secured before Memorial Day. There was an older gentleman that helped me out on the floor today but I didn't catch his name. I appreciated him going above and beyond to help. I'll definitely be taking the trip to Ripon even though the Stockton store is just 10 minutes from my house. The Stockton Ace Hardware don't deserve my money.

I gave one star. Today my first day out of house due to COVID19. Ready to buy their most expensive lawn mower to support local shop BUT while I was asking questions on the phone (I speak slow on phone), apparently I didn't respond fast enough, they hung up on me.They just lost biz. I'm going to Lowe's. Geez! Their loss not mine. I tried local. Service sucks.

I had an issue with a product that I purchased. I talked to Derrick and explained the problem. He looked in to it and got back to me as promised. Needless to say, I left a very happy camper. I was impressed with the customer service. When a business follows through in a timely manner and ensures that you are satisfied with the outcome, that's a 5 star rating from me!!!

Owners have their staff trained so well with emphasis on providing awesome service. Great selection and plenty of help as soon as you walk through the doors. Personal service you dont fund in the big box stores.

Just wanted to say, awesome customer service! A few weeks ago I purchased a garden hose and unfortunately it failed. I didn't keep the sales receipt, and I knew they did not have to honor the warranty without it. I thought I would give it a try, and not only did they honor the warranty, but it was also on sale and I received money from the difference of the new purchase price. I explained that I only wanted to exchange it, but they insisted I keep the difference. I've been in sales for 35 years and that kind of customer service earns all my business. Hats off to the owner, management

My Orchard Hardware store in Manteca, is closing in a few weeks, so I figured that I had better look for another store where I can find my hardware items other than Home Depot. I visited Schemper's Ace Hardware this morning looking for some special wood stain. I was greeted by a friendly person at the door who directed me to the paint area of the store. As I was walking down the paint aisle I was again greeted by a middle-aged gentleman named Joe who asked if he could help me. I told him what I was looking for. Awesome customer service from Chris. We drove to Schemper's Ace hardware to get the fire pit that was a really good deal. Everyone I came across greeted my wife and me. We were asked if we needed any help finding anything and it was meant not just rushing by meeting the rigmarole of having to greet guests, a real good feel from this store. I got my fire pit and Chris even loaded into my van for me.
This Ace hardware really gets the customer service aspect, I would travel here again from Lathrop to get hardware items as they know how to treat their customers and make them feel like they care

I always enjoy talking with Ward, Bud, Steve and so many other long term employees! Lot of great years even as the store has grown and moved over time.

If you are looking for a Weber grill, this is the place to get it. They have most models in stock, provide free assembly and delivery, and have all the accessories. I bought one last week and received nothing but the best service possible. Absolutely amazing.

Their garden area is incredible. I love talking to the garden department staff- they are knowledgable, offer great advice and kind. They go truly above and beyond.
They also carry a wide selection of canning supplies all year long.
I love coming here.

Can't really think of a better hardware store in Northern California. Everyone that works there is friendly, helpful, and professional.
They have a great selection of various wares for a store their size. Not to mention fair prices, this usually isn't the case for smaller shops due to their reduced buying power compared to the big box stores. They offer some tasty locally made pies as well. I really like small businesses, it's great to see people making it happen on their own. But when they team up with another small business, that's just awesome.

Seriously, I live in Manteca, but this is THE "go-to" hardware store. HELPFUL, friendly, and almost always have ALL the items to finish the job. Great selection of nuts, bolts, fasteners, and just about everything else.
Stihl, Craftsmen, Echo, good selection.
Changed my thinking. Instead of going to OSH, then Home Depot, and then end up at Schempers.....now I just go straight to Schempers and don't waste my time elsewhere.
