Offering a quaint lifestyle that is cherished but so often missing from the contemporary American landscape, the town of Hastings has been identified as # 68 on the list of the best small towns in America in author Norman Crampton's book "The 100 Best Small Towns in America".We like to think that Whispering Waters Campground, in turn, offers its guests some of the best in Hastings, Barry County, and the state of Michigan.

Super disappointed in the owner of this park.I blame nobody else for our experience, but him.Made a reservation a yr ahead, met him(mind u he wore no mask)showing us around the park in his van nor no info bc of covid.Fast forward to receiving a email to all residents.I had 1 question about the info.If the owner(by his own choice)decided to make amenities available to only vaccinated residents at some point in time,if we could leave and get our seasonl money back for the mths we didn't use.Owner-Ill tell ya what, ill give u ur deposit back and you can find somewhere else to stay. We have very vulnerable

Super sad that you feel the need to dictate whether or not someone has the vaccine in order to stay here. Maybe do the research on the vaccine and maybe let people decide for themselves whether or not it is right for them. So disappointing not to mention discriminatory.
In response to your response:
I USED MY REAL NAME! I don’t hide behind a keyboard and say things I don’t know and I definitely don’t use fake names. I’m sorry you seem to be misinformed as the email started showed specifically that you needed to be vaccinated in order to stay there due to having very vulnerable guests

Small, quiet campground, mostly seasonal TTs/5th wheels. Very close knit family atmosphere, with plenty of privacy. Right next to gorgeous Thornapple River and NCT/Paul Henry Thornapple recreation trail. 15 min from Gun Lake, 30 min from Grand Rapids and 1 hr from Holland/Saugatuck. Amazing owner and staff!

My family and I have been staying at Whispering Waters on and off for about 20 years. Roger, Uta , George and the rest of the staff were always very helpful and accommodating!!!! They are predominantly seasonal, but I have called at last minute multiple times for a quick weekend getaways with my kids and they have squeezed us in!!!! My wife and I consider them family!!! This campground will always be our first choice!!!

We stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the wine tasting . The staff is extremely courteous and the facilities are the cleanest of any campground we have ever stayed in . This is a tight knit community of seasonal campers that are very friendly and more then willing to help out a newbie camper owner the ropes. A special Thank You to Rodger and George for your hospitality to my family . If your looking for a peaceful getaway this is it , mostly older people and very quiet . The camp store is very well stocked and the pool is absolutely wonderful .. I feel this is the nicest, cleanest and by far the

We rented a camp site for 3 nights, there was no water nor electricity(the ones that have were all gone). But the site is spacious and has enough privacy from neighbours. The management teams are absolutely nice and very helpful! Other than the fact that the bathroom is bit too far I have no complaint whatsoever.

CLEAN & FRIENDLY!!!
-Stayed 2 nights and was very impressed! Owners treat guests like family - very available and accommodating. The long term/ frequenting guests are super nice as well, filling you in about upcoming events and attractions. The sites are very safe, clean and pleasant. Bathroom facilities are cleaned daily and are exceptionally fresh.
