Woodchip Campground

Can’t say enough good things about Woodchip Campground! So many kid friendly amenities offered, super friendly/accommodating staff, safe/quiet environment, holiday activities, beautiful trees.. I could go on and on. If we are ever back in the area we will be back for sure!

We may be biased because Woodchip is our small-town campground, but we love the number of activities, the size, and the people that run it. We just went for their Fall weekend and the best part- they still had their pool open! Honestly, it's routinely been in the 80's in Michigan for the last 10+ years, whether it is due to climate change or cyclical weather changes, us Michiganders want to soak it up and that is hard to do without water! The people are SO friendly in the store, the kids love the selection of goodies, they bring in inflatables and food trucks. There is also a great, central playground

I highly recommend Woodchip Campground in Byron Center, MI. We had a family emergency and needed a place to stay near the Grand Rapids area. I checked online and there was no availability for a last minute notice. I called Woodchip Campground and spoke to Clayton. He was very understanding of our situation and this was the only campground in the area that was able to help us out. We ended up staying for 3 weeks until we were able to head back home to Florida. The campground was very clean, the employees were friendly and there were many activities for kids on the weekends. The location was close

We always enjoy our camping trips to Woodchip.
Our grandkids loved being there with us this summer. They had a blast & we spent so much time in the pool and play area. Everyone is very nice & friendly 😎

If you haven't guessed by the photos, this is a great place to bring children. Each evening and morning during our stay there were activities that the children lived to participate in. When is no organized activity there is still plenty for the kids to do. Now for the staff, very friendly. When our original plan fir a campground fell through the folks at Woodchip found a spot for is that fir our needs for a 2 night stay. They even deliver your camp fire wood. If I'm ever back in the area you can bet I will be camping at Woodchip again. Thanks guys (and gals).

Good overnight stay. Really nice outdoor heated pool. Good wifi. Check in person was nice. Also has 30# propane exchanges which is convenient. Only complaint is that our lot was mostly sand. Hard when you have picky corgis that need grass. Overall can’t complain for the price.

Despite being “in town” Woodchip was peaceful and quiet. Very convenient location to everything. The grounds were well kept and the pool was very clean. Camp store stocked and staff was always friendly. We enjoyed our time there very much and will recommend to anyone passing through.

Great small campground with a bunch of amenities. Very well kept, even the behind the scenes areas are clean and organized. My kids were so happy with the playground, pool and pillow. The other kids in the camp were very nice and everyone had a great time playing together.

We absolutely love this campground! Woodchip is extremely clean and well maintained. It's owned by a big, beautiful Christian family. The owners and their children are so friendly, polite and accommodating. The activities for kids are very fun..they have a bounce house, huge inflated slides, a foam party, train rides and more! These were great for our kids to look forward to each day. The pool is super nice, clean and sunny with extra warm water! There are beautiful mature tress around the campground, which adds to it's charm. The dog park is a fun place to meet other campers. The general store
