Nicole Nemiroff Psychotherapy
I am so thrilled that you have found yourself here. Feel free to take a look around this website. To contact me, send me an email, give me a call, or text my number with good times to reach you over the phone. My clients say that my presence is grounded, and our work together helps them see things from a completely new angle.

Clients that have worked with me find themselves feeling relieved and having a new way of relating to the world and themselves. My motto in therapy is that you are your own expert and authority of your own self and life. I hold an open-ended space for you to explore what it's like to be you, where you are going, and what is unfolding for you.
Services
I live in Santa Cruz, which is on traditional Amah Mutsun Ohlone land. I donate to the Amah Mutsun Land Trust to acknowledge this history and the Ohlone community. I pledge to use my power of psychotherapy to support healing, empowerment and justice for humans, non-human beings and our Earth.

I am here as a co-conspirator with people of color, indigenous folk, LGBTQ+ friends and the plant spirits on this spectacular Mother Earth, on the journey of empowerment and freedom of body, mind and consciousness through the medicine of witnessing, mirroring, and reflecting.
Growth comes through many forms and is coupled with change. Whether change is expected or unexpected, professional or personal, growth and adjustment takes time and consistent support. My ultimate hope in the work I do is to help others recognize their significance in the world, work towards self-acceptance, and help guide them toward living in a more peaceful way.
Nicole's services are suited for healers, artists, therapy students, go-getters, empaths, witches, young people in business, athletes, dreamers, creatives, nature enthusiasts, people experiencing grief, people experiencing transitions, spiritual seekers and soul-searchers. Therapy is a place to explore things with someone who isn't your friends or family - a neutral party that isn't invested in any outcome besides your growth.
Psychiatrists (M.D.) are medical doctors and can prescribe medication. Psychologists Ph. D. have a doctorate in psychology, have completed an internship and are licensed by the state to practice. Marriage, Family Therapists (MFT or LMFT) have completed a Master's degree in psychology or counseling psychology.
Grief counseling can help you when your self-healing process seems to have stalled. Typically, if your feelings are interfering with your work or life, it might be time to consider grief counseling. I will help you understand what particular thoughts, events or actions activate your grief. A treatment plan might include traditional individual therapy, meditation, relaxation, reflection, memory sharing or group work.

Nicole has been a colleague of mine as long as I have been in the Bay Area, and I have been honored to work alongside her and learn with her. She is a compassionate and bright soul, with the ability to hold vulnerability and gentle strength with ease. I would highly recommend her!

I have known Nicole since 2012, and have gotten to know her very closely, as we both went through our graduate training together, and later worked together in a grief clinic for children and families. I watched Nicole care for so many individuals and families with skill, warmth and heart. Nicole has been such a supportive colleague and advisor to me for years now. I have seen her work with folks with swift creativity, open mindedness and Love. I have seen the folks she helps come out of sessions with her feeling more capacitated, supported and with deepened insight. I cannot recommend Nicole enough

Nicole has so much wisdom to share! She is incredibly creative in her utilization of Expressive Art techniques, while bringing her uniqueness, warmth and curiosity to the therapeutic process. I highly recommend you contact her, especially if you're looking for a therapist with a deep capacity for empathy and understanding. I'm certain she will be a strong guide in whatever issues you're dealing with or ways you might need support.

I have been a colleague of Nicole's for a few years. Over that time I have been continually impressed with her depth of wisdom, compassion and fierce authenticity. Her vast knowledge and faith in the healing experience of Expressive Arts Therapy is inspiring. She allows clients use these techniques to further explore and heal. She also knows when to use these techniques and when to "just" talk.

Nicole also works with children and I have seen my own child interact with her. She is a natural and meets the child where they are, allowing them to come forward and trust her.
