While selecting frames may be the enjoyable part of getting new glasses, science plays the major role when it comes to the accuracy of prescription lenses. We make your eyeglasses in our ON-SITE FINISHING LABORATORY, which allows us excellent quality control.
Based on our years of research and client feedback, we highly recommend products by Carl Zeiss; a leader in precision optics for more than 160 years (lenses and their high-precision, computerized systems allows for individualized prescriptions).We also have access to other lens designers worldwide so, should you favor another manufacturer, we will gladly accommodate your needs.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They are so wonderful! And it's a pleasure working with them.
They may be a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for... that's quality!
Came in one evening for a pair of sunglasses (because I sat on mine on accident, of course and they broke). The man there found glasses that really fit and looked nice on my face. He listened, was thoughtful and patient. I was literally in/out in less that 30 minutes with sunglasses I truly love!!
... our time is valuable too. Sure beats endless hours and no one around to help at other places.

I have had a wonderful experience with excellent results, ordering four pair of glasses at Accent on Eyewear over the years. Chuck is my "go to" person, although everyone in the store is very welcoming and helpful. Their frames are current and stylish, but it is Chuck's expertise in getting the finished product to be accurate, comfortable and perfect that is worth every penny! I wear progressive lenses and am very difficult to fit, unfortunately, and used to dread having to get a new prescription filled. But Chuck has hit a home run with each of my glasses and has made it fun

I discovered them last year on a visit from Fresno to Menlo Park and loved the sunglasses i had made there. This year I went back with a prescription from a new doctor referred to me by my Fresno opthamologist. Found out this doctor was an idiot, couldn't see with her prescription! Eva, Chuck, and Vanessa worked tirelessly with me through this problem when I got a perfect prescription from another Fresno eye doctor. I cannot say enough about their total focus on the customer, as well as their amazing selection and wonderful ability to find the most beautiful glasses for even a little old

This is my fourth pair of glasses from Accent on Eyewear! Their frames are the coolest I have ever seen. I love them! I never have had so many compliments on any eyewear. They are a fashion statement. The service is amazing. Everyone is very helpful. I recommend them to all my friends.

The expertise and service my husband and continue to receive from this store has been fantastic! We have been buying our frames here for about 10 years and each time have been taken care of very well. In fact, we have now moved away from the Bay Area, and I trusted them enough to bring my new prescription with me to be filled on my recent visit. Great small town feel with personal touches that make shopping here a great experience!

For having the ability to at least pick up the phone, and also because I have to, a single star. You might have received more stars if you had made me want to enter your establishment and spend money there.
I've called them on two separate occasions regarding frames and both times have spoken to the same man who needs a lesson in phone etiquette and customer service. Both times he came off as indifferent and rude, almost defiantly so. Just brusque answers, nothing more. (However after reading Mark H.'s review that seems to be the norm for their business, not just this particular individual

Whatever you do, don't call them and ask them if they carry certain frames or if they can order them for you.
Instead of a polite yes or no, the woman I spoke with gave me a speech about how it's ridiculous to ask such a question over the phone. "There are so many other factors that are involved with selection...blahblah...how many stores have you called asking for prices already anyway? We don't do this unless you're serious...blah blah."
I was ready to fork over $500 for frames (and probably another $200 for lenses. I had already been fitted elsewhere, and knew

They have an outstanding selection of fashion eyewear, but have your lenses made up elsewhere! I had two frames done last year - regular glasses and sunglasses. BOTH pairs had to be redone three times - and I still can't see as well out of them as I can out of my two-year-old glasses. And my Judith Leiber glasses with Zeiss progressive bifocal lenses were $1,100!! My ophthalmologist said the bifocals were not in the right place on the frame making it impossible for me to read clearly. Same for my sunglasses.

The progressive lenses I ordered with expensive frames and clip-ons were giving me screaming headaches. Eva, the owner, insisted that my eyes were "tired," so I tried to get used to them. Finally, I had my eye doctor check the prescription (which was correct), we had the lenses re-made, and after seeing THREE MORE EYE DOCTORS, I returned the glasses and asked for a refund. My husband and I had been loyal, long-time customers. Although they did not have a no refund policy stated on the receipt, I was refused. They no doubt returned the lenses to Zeiss for a refund

My husband and I have bought our glasses at Accent on Eyewear for years and love them. I've occasionally gone to other places and haven't been as happy.
Because of the quality of their work, they were recommended originally by our optometrist. They have a very large selection of glasses, including the latest styles.
I have always found Eva's recommendations to be really helpful.

Eva and Charlie are wonderful. They are total customer service and will make your glasses fit your face so you look fabulous. Eva makes special trips to New York and Europe to select stylish lenses and she will personally fit the frames to your face. They don't advertise but business comes to them via word of mouth. All my friends go there. When I meet someone new I always get compliments on my glasses and I refer them to Eva at Accent on Eyewear.

Just be sure to ask for Chuck. The woman he worked with, who may now be on Welch Road and no longer connected with A.O.E., was very difficult: You felt like you had to battle with her for your preferences. In fact, when I changed opticians, she resisted giving me information about my own lenses.
Chuck, however, is wonderful; he's well-informed, patient, and worked with me to get a custom shape. I recommend him very highly.
