Dr. Carpio is a second-generation dentist from Peru. She is proud to call Texas her home and has been providing specialized care for Children exclusively for over 10 years.
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.

The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.
Some children are given nitrous oxide/oxygen, or what you may know as laughing gas, to relax them for their dental treatment. Nitrous oxide/oxygen is a blend of two gases, oxygen and nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide/oxygen is given through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child's nose, allowing them to relax, but without putting them to sleep.
If the procedure was in the lower jaw the tongue, teeth, lip and surrounding tissue will be numb or asleep. If the procedure was in the upper jaw the teeth, lip and surrounding tissue will be numb or asleep. Often, children do not understand the effects of local anesthesia, and may chew, scratch, suck, or play with the numb lip, tongue, or cheek.

We have been going to this dentist for maybe 6 years. The staff is very friendly and Dr Carpio has been great with my high anxiety child. He was so high anxiety during dental visits he was asked to not come back to his previous dentist office. That’s when we found Kids & Teens. Over the years we’ve been going there, he is now 90% comfortable with having his teeth examined and cleaned. So happy with them it’s worth the drive from Alvin!!

Guys they are the hands down best dentist you can take your kids to. All the nurses are SUPER friendly, waiting rooms with TVs playing cartoons all over the place. Doctor and nurses are great with the kids. This dental place loves their community and it shows! I drive all the way across town passing several dental offices to get to this one and it so worth it! I just hate my kid is 15 and only has 3 more years with them! They made my big boy smile (which is pretty hard to do). So five stars! I’d give more of I could!

I've been taking my son, Marcus who is 11, and daughter, Kaila who is 9, to Kids and Teens Dental place for a couple of years. They are always so professional and they are good with helping my kids feel comfortable. Both of my kids have needed teeth extractions at different times. I would recommend them to anyone needing a pediatric dentist!

This is the PERFECT place to bring your children. It is so convenient because they can see multiple siblings at once. It is designed to keep the kids calm and occupied with movies playing in just about every room. Every employee I’ve interacted with is friendly and great with kids. I’ve been bringing my kids here for routine cleanings and for one extraction for the past two years, and have had a great experience every time!

I feel this place is very rude ! All staff and doctors are very rude here and only does things to their convenience not yours ! I also feel they try to find any little reason to bill your insurance ! I’m switching dentistry’s this is not the place for my daughters I prefer a happy caring for family atmosphere ! We have been coming here for years we are switching dentist we had enough of this place!

Amazing experience the dentist was very understanding and caring . We had a good experience I was finally at peace after the appointment because they reviewed the concerns I had and explained to my kids that they need to brush their teeth . It definitely worked because we got home and they said no thank you to cookies and asked me to brush ,floss and to help them use mouth wash I’m so beyond thankful . I definitely recommend kids and teens dental place wonderful staff .

We had a wonderful experience at Dr. Carpios office. She was very kind and explained everything in detail. The hygienist was also very informative and helped my son with his jitters since it was years since he’s been in a dental chair. As a previous dental worker, I was looking for a good office that would take their time with the children and have empathy towards them. I loved their office and looking forward to our 6 month visit!
