Funky's Catering began in 2004 under the experienced eye of Michael "Funky" Forgus. With his 30+ years of restaurant and fine dining experience, he transitioned to the special event industry hoping to change the landscape of catering in Cincinnati. Funky's is an outstanding company! They provide you with amazing service, delicious food and excellent staff! They do many different types of events... Weddings, holiday parties, private events, breakfast, lunch, dinner. They provide many options! Not only is the food delicious, but the way in which it is presented is absolutely gorgeous! If you're looking for a company to cater an event I most definitely recommend them! They are not only a catering company.. They are your complete event planning location. If I could give Funky Catering 1 million stars I would. They were incredibly helpful and on the ball throughout our wedding planning process at the Pinecroft. But where Funky really stands out is on the day of your event. First, we were given a day of coordinator who was an absolute delight and the hardest working, most incredible help from the time we rehearsed our ceremony to when we left that night. Second, their on-site manager quickly pivoted from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor one with total ease and helped me feel confident in the pivot despite being disappointed the rain was ruining my

We hired Funky's to cater our Rehearsal dinner and Wedding Reception in August 2021. They exceeded any and all expectations and certainly went above and beyond! The items Michael and his team curated for our rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception were absolutely divine. Such high-quality selections, unique flavors, and exemplary pairing. Moreover, most of the items were locally sourced which we truly appreciated. Everything was plated and served to perfection. Funky's Catering is my favorite catering service. They have a great staff (Megan, Brenda etc.) and I can't say enough good things about them. Top notch catering! From wedding planning to day-of execution, the Funky’s Team is there to help every step of the way. Their food is incredible, and service unbeatable - from the wait staff to day-of and event coordinators. They carefully helped us plan the details of the day, and made sure all our needs were met. The Chef even came out to personally greet my Husband and I on our wedding night to thank us, and ensure everything was running according to plan. Of course, it was, and it’s all thanks to them for helping run the show. Look no further - this group will not disappoint!

Funky’s is the best! They catered my wedding for ~200 guests and the food was amazing. I am still hearing guests say it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had!! We served a duet plate that included the short rib which I cannot recommend enough.
The staff was incredibly professional and on top of it. They know what they’re doing and are easy to rely on. They even took the time to prepare special dinner plates for me (bride) and the groom as we each wanted something a little different. Thank you Funky’s!!

Catered our wedding, multiple family events, as well as the Dan Beard Fireworks party. Not a better caterer in Cincinnati. They know how to run an event and more importantly their food selections are spectacular.... Would give 10 stars if I could!
