Great salon! I was able to book online very easily with short notice. I bleach my own hair and get nervous about going to salons and having the stylist pressure me to have them bleach my hair, but my stylist was very supportive and understanding of me doing that myself :) I also wasn't pressured into buying any products which was a relief. They have a shelf of them, and I am kind of tempted to buy something next time because my hair feels so nice! My stylist and overall experience was great and I will definitely go back :)

After +1 year or quarantine, my hair needed some help. Sam did a great job of adding shape and life back into my hair. She was ready to start on time and was a joy to work with. The salon was very nice and clean. Highly recommend!

I scheduled an appointment with Hannah F. to fix a previous haircut. She taught me about my curls, how to style them, and she cut them in such a flattering way. Not many people can tame my long, thick hair, but Hannah did perfectly. I’ll continue to go back to her for all of my cuts now! Very clean and professional place as well. If you have curly hair, you need to see Sarah at M Hair Studio. After years of weird texture, my curls have finally begun to grow back. I've never had someone care so much for my texture and help me learn the new steps I need to take to care for my curly hair. It felt extremely personalized and I could honestly tell Sarah gave a crap about every detail to make the transition to taking care of my curls smoother on me.

I visited Sarah at M after months of avoiding the salon - my stylist moved away and I needed to work up the nerve to try someone new. I have blonde curls, and if you have either of these things you know why finding the right stylist is a really big deal!!
Sarah was AMAZING, an excellent communicator, calm, collected and a stellar conversationalist. I left with perfectly sculpted, toned blonde curls and will undoubtedly return.

This past week, I went to see Sam Lotts at M Hair Studio. I wanted a refresh on my hair color, which I had let go natural over the past few years. It was drab.
I asked Sam for her input, along with telling her what I was wanting. She gave a few lovely suggestions for what would look best with my coloring and style.
I am absolutely beyond pleased with how my hair turned out! It brightened my face along with keeping my slight touch of grey that I asked to keep.

M Studio is a small, neighborhood salon that offers a calming alternative to some of the larger salons around town. I live in the area and needed a stylist who could cut curly hair. I was lucky to find Sarah Birkedahl, who completely changed my curly hair maintenance for life. Sarah is a fellow curly girl and she introduced me to the world of Deva Curl and the Curly Girl Handbook. I have since thrown away all my old hair products and have stopped straightening my hair. The combination of the cut and new hair products have given me the confidence to go natural everyday. I highly recommend Sarah

Talk about a hole in one cruelty free/vegan, the staff is friendly, place is clean and updated, prices are reasonable (no vegan surcharge) and they give pretty great cuts too! Will definitely be back!

I'd always heard about M. Studio, but never went in. I got married a little over a week ago and after growing my hair out for the wedding, I wanted a change. I had Kristi and I could not recommend her more!!! I showed her some pictures of what I liked and she asked me some questions then went straight to work! She walked me through what she was doing so I never got nervous about the process. She was meticulous to make sure there were no weird stray hairs or anything like that. She took her time cutting and styling. Will definitely be going back!!

Sara Birkedahl is the only person in Tennessee that I will let touch my hair. I was with my first curly stylist for 5 years before moving away and didn't think I would find anyone else. Plot twist: I found Sara Birkedahl. She gets my type 3 curls on an unmatched level. Book her now; girl gets BUSY on Saturdays. Schedulicity + Sara = Curly Gurl Heaven.

Sarah is a wizard with the curly hair. I'm a control freak so I really appreciated how much time she took to listen to what I wanted. Almost immediately I could tell that she was a perfectionist and I was in good hands. Not only did she layer my tangly mess BEAUtifully, she balayage-highlighted it to bring out the curls specifically. Definitely one of the best experiences I've had in a salon! I'll be back to see her for sure.

I finally found the blonde color I’d been looking for for years and years! Mandi took the time to really listen and understand what I wanted. I’d wager there’s no one better in Nashville at blonde highlights than Mandi. I can’t wait to book again!

I've followed Amanda from salon to salon, across the city, because I'm always so thrilled with her work.
