All Handcraft Mattress Company mattress beds are hand-tailored to custom fit each individual boat's specifications. We offer Innerspring, Pocket Coil, Latex, Gel Memory Foam and Foam Mattress options. Each mattress is designed for the marine environment with vinyl marinization on the bottom, sides and edges of the mattress against the hull to protect it from moisture seeping into the mattress, causing mold and mildew.
Our Innerspring Mattresses have premium Bonnell coils (hourglass-shaped springs that provide support) in 4-turn low coil or 5-turn tall coil availability. Premium pocket coils and micro coils offer the same technology used in brand name mattresses for the home. Our Innerspring Mattresses are made with premium comfort layers and plush, quilted fabrics.
Looking for an extra level of comfort? Our Latex core mattresses and Latex comfort layers gently conform to every contour of your body providing optimal support and pressure relief. Available in conventional and pillow-top styles, Latex is hypo-allergenic and mildew-proof, even in the most humid marine environments.
Our Gel Memory Foam comfort layer offers a unique blend of memory foam infused with gel beads that rapidly channel heat away from the body, resulting in a more uniform temperature in both cool and warm environments. Gel Memory Foam combined with our Latex or pocket coil base layer offers qualities similar to what you would see in brand name mattresses, with premium comfort layers and plush, smooth fabrics.

We bought our first custom boat mattress from HMC in 2000. We replaced it in 2019. I'd say we more than got our money”s worth. The new mattress was delivered in less then a week from the day we ordered it. Perfect fit. Excellent craftsmanship. Extremely comfortable. Nice people. I strongly recommend them.
