Services
St. Luke Preschool, a Christian ministry of the Church Congregation, serving the Albuquerque Community for over 60 years, offers school year programs, summer camps, and a.m. and p.m. extended care for our students. To form a partnership with families and the church to provide a safe and secure Christian environment that enables and encourages children to learn through developmentally appropriate play and instruction.
The longevity of the staff speaks for itself. Staff members have been at St. Luke for an average of 7 years - some for over 15 years! This longevity results in a stable and consistent environment for learning and facilitates an excellent team approach to child development. Our teaching staff have either a degree in early childhood or a related field, a Child Development Associate Degree, or are in the process of earning a degree.
St. Luke Lutheran Church began a kindergarten class for congregation members in 1956. From that single class grew a Christian preschool and extended care program. We currently enroll children from two years of age through age six. St. Luke is well respected and its reputation in the community is long standing.
Parent involvement strengthens our school and sense of community and we look forward to partnering with you in the growth and development of your child. Parents are invited to serve or volunteer with our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC).
The purpose of the Parent Advisory Committee is to provide additional opportunities for communication between staff and parents, to give a voice to parental ideas and opinions, to encourage parent education events, and to allow parents as much involvement in the life of the school as their time and schedules permit.

The Younger Multi-Age Programs focus on the development of language, motor, and social skills, through a variety of hands-on art, music, dance, movement, literacy, math, and science experiences. We LOVE St. Luke! The faculty and staff are so very dedicated to the children. The safety and security of the children is one of their top priorities which helps us rest easy when we drop them off every day at school. And they have come home after learning SO much from the play based curriculum. The school is clean and adorable with the children's art decorating all of the hallways. They frequently have events for the whole family to attend that are always so much fun. My girls love St. Luke and so do we!

Every single interaction with St Luke's staff is a joy. The facility is 5 stars for a reason. Clean, beautifully decorated with art from the children, tight security policies, and you can tell that they genuinely love what they do. My son has been attending for almost a year now and I cannot wait to send my next child there when he turns 2. The children learn routine, structure, and above all else are treated with respect, compassion, and empathy. Highly Recommend.

Wonderful school and even more wonderful staff! After touring other preschool/daycares and having been enrolled in other daycares, St. Lukes has blown me away with their curriculum, their cleanliness, the staff and their attentiveness to my child and my family. Having a faith based preschool for my child has also given me peace of mind that my child is being taught good morals/values which are hard to find in other establishments as well as in other children anymore these days. The student to teacher ratio is perfect, as I know my child is both learning independently, as well as being guided and

Both of our children have attended St Luke Preschool-our daughter 3 years ago and our son presently. The staff are incredibly warm and caring and it is clear that they are passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children and families that attend. We are impressed with the quality of the education our kids have received, and the facility itself is well organized and up to date. Highly recommend!

Our oldest son has attended for a year, and we can’t wait until our youngest is old enough to join him. St. Luke is in a category all its own- this is simply the most professional, friendly, and loving preschool staff you will meet. The director and teachers here love what they do, and it shows. Our son loves his school, his teachers, and his friends, even asking to come to preschool on weekends! As a secondary teacher myself, I couldn’t be happier with the education my son is receiving here. From active and imaginative play, to kindness and sharing, not to mention how much my son’s vocabulary

Both of my children have attended St. Luke since they were old enough through the Kinderprep class. This school is one of the things that has kept us in Albuquerque. They are so wonderful. My kids learned to love learning, got support for both academics and social/developmental needs. The teachers and administrators are kind, professional and the best at what they do. I can't say enough good things about this preschool!

St. Luke Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten is by far one of the greatest schools in town. I cannot speak highly enough about the office and teaching staff. The classrooms are clean and welcoming, and the playground is not only fun, but also safe and secure. St. Luke is a “nut free” school with a strict policy; however, there are plenty of healthy options for parents to choose from that do not include nuts. Having a child with an allergy, this policy gives me reassurance that he will be safe at school. But beyond the factors of having a safe and friendly school is the fact that my children
