I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals just like you. Our partnership focuses on your personal strengths. I will customize our times together to meet your specific needs, creating an individualized counseling plan so that you can reach your goals. I work from a strength-based, empowering, holistic approach.
Services
What can I expect in my first session? Your first appointment will be an initial evaluation where you complete paperwork and I gather information about your life experiences. Counseling sessions will begin after your initial evaluation and can be scheduled weekly, depending on your needs. Then, in the first few sessions, we'll take a look at your goals and create a counseling plan together.
Executives have challenging and demanding roles that often create unique stressors and isolation, at times. It's often difficult to work at their highest potential. Coaching can assist executives in a number of areas, dramatically increasing their leadership skills, effectiveness, and relationships.
LMHC Interns and Addiction Professionals usually receive 1 hour of clinical supervision weekly while providing direct clinical services to clients. Supervision is non-directive at time, but also geared toward various development areas. I have experience in direct service with clients and in program leadership.
1. We'll first schedule a pre-consulting meeting to discuss the scope of work, details of the project, define goals, etc. 2. If we both agree that a consulting relationship would benefit your origination, then I will prepare a proposal after we identify timeframes, outcomes, resources needed, and expectations.
If you would like to refer a client to me, please feel free to provide them with my contact information and website and encourage them to reach out to me. I am also happy to consult with other professionals regarding a referral. Please give me a call and we can discuss your client's needs and the reason for the referral.

Chris Checke was my supervisor when I graduated with my MS in mental health counseling. He is an excellent supervisor for students who are looking to become licensed as licensed mental health counselors. He is very flexible with scheduling and works with you as the student clinician one one one. He will help guide you to case conceptualize your current clients and is extremely knowledgable in a variety of clinical specialities to help you better serve your patients. If you are a registered mental health counselor intern or you are about to graduate from an MS program in mental health counseling

Not a therapist I would recommend for those with depression and anxiety disorders. Unfortunately, he did not see my condition as a serious health condition. I have a safety related job and he did not feel comfortable recommending I have FMLA for assistance should I not be able to perform my safety related job in the event of an emergency. I think he would be a great life coach but I would suggest thinking twice before seeing him for treatment that is medically related. Its difficult to start with a new therapist so thought it would be important to others to share my experience. I just moved to

Chris is not only a great therapist who is highly skilled in his profession, he is also a great human being who connects with his clients at the heart level. He is for sure at the top of my list when needing to refer an individual or family for help.

I have known Chris Checke for over 10 years. He is exceptionally gifted: in management skills as director of a large outpatient clinic; in developing new professionals in behavioral health (including graduate interns); in collaborating with numerous community organizations; in facilitating a nationally linked support group for community service non-profit CEOs; and in providing individual therapy & coaching in his private practice. WOW, I think that is the longest sentence I have ever written...and I could go on!

I have been working with Chris for over 8 years. I have had nothing short of miracles happen while utilizing his coaching services. He has seen me through every life change/event possible, including a break up, studying for the bar, starting my career, getting married, battling post-partum issues, and pretty much everything. He is extremely skilled, compassionate, caring, and all around excellent. I HIGHLY recommend Chris for anyone seeking to improve any area of their life.

I have had the opportunity to work along with Chris many years ago. I can say that I learned a great deal from him as an intern and now that I am a practicing clinican, I continue to admire his work ethic, wise experience and professional attitude. Clinicians like Chris make the field of psychology a great one!!

I utilized Chris' services for several months. In that time, I gained real insight into my own career roadblocks, and learned how to clear the way for greater achievements, professionally and personally. And to boot, I now have a knock-out resume that really gets the attention of potential employers.
He's a very good guy, great energy as we say on the west coast. I really enjoyed my sessions with Chris, and have him to thank for a lot of the progress I've made.
