James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. has been serving Hannibal area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. Just before the turn of the 19th century the family of John and Marie O'Donnell migrated to the United States from Ireland in search of a better life.

If your loved one dies in a healthcare facility, they will notify the proper authorities, including the funeral home you have chosen to care for your loved one if they know that information.

Horrible Horrible experience that’s the only way I can describe the funeral for my cousin’s young daughter it was terrible they were so Insincere and uncaring, it was such a tragic time in our lives and they made it even worse. O’Donnells was a staple in Hannibal, however since new management took over it is not the same. Everything my family ordered was wrong, even the casket. Please do not take a chance by using their services. You will be disappointed. I felt he took advantage of my family and treated us like trash. So sad...

I was absolutely blown away by the amazing experience provided by O’Donnell’s. My grandfather’s celebration of life was like no funeral I have ever been to. The pictures and displays of his life events placed throughout the church were SO good and brought so much peace to our family. Thank you so much for caring and doing your job so well. Lyle Campbell would have been very pleased.

Jimmy is the best he has worked with me since 2005 on a Prearranged Prepaid Funeral and now I am Finally Able To Pay It Completely Off. The O'Donnell Funeral Home has Always Been Good To The Community they never hound you or come after You for Money You Owe Them Because They Understand Many People in the Community have a hard time and Live Paycheck to Paycheck I Truly Believe That is one of Many Reasons James O'Donnell Funeral Home gets 5 Stars.

Like so many others I was amazed by the service provided by each and every O'Donnell employee. The service at the funeral home itself and the graveside service were wonderful. Distraught with grief, I left the Celebration of David's life feeling uplifted and knowing David would have loved the event. From the love of Minnesota, to the Cardinals, the… family and the pups, his grilling and classic cars, the set up all over the room and playing on the walls were perfectly my David. O'Donnell Funeral Home goes above and beyond in every way possible. After a 1 hour interview with Mr. O'Donnell, we thought we had given him enough information for a touching obituary. Little did we know, he used all of that information to create the most wonderful celebration of life possible. Upon arrival at the funeral home, we were greeted with beautiful collages, projectors highlighting our loved ones favorite locations, milkshakes, and maid rites (all things dear to the decedent).
