One of the best, most professional, and RELIABLE CPAs in Los Angeles. I've had some complicated situation with my taxes that other CPAs couldn't solve but this one has done it like a piece of cake. The person that took care of me was Thomas. He is one of the most chill and nicest people that ever helped me. You will not be disappointed with their services. They're always updated with information that you will need. I would rate more than 5 stars if I could. I will be recommending my friends and coworkers if they need a good accountant.

Prior to speaking with the CPAs from Samuel B Choi Accountancy, I spoke with a CPA from another Accounting firm who was extremely rude and did not want to help out b/c it was a free consultation (literally told me to visit a website and find out on my own).

I was lucky enough to connect with David from Samuel B Choi Accountancy, and this CPA knew literally all the tax consequences once a company is incorporated and websites that i will need to register for my licenses/permits. He didn't even ask me to write him a review on yelp, but he was so helpful that I felt like leaving him a comment

This is my first review in the 9 years that I have used Yelp, and it's regarding my experience with David Choi.

1. David insulted my family I let him know that my brother is out of a job at 31 years old. His exact words were:

"He's 31? And he doesn't have a job?"


2. David does not have time to help you with any follow ups in the event that you have any questions regarding the filing of your taxes.

"I'd have to charge a consultation fee if you need 30 minutes of my time. My hourly rate is $275. Let me know if you want a consultation."

With all this COVID 19 going on, I was extra stressful about filing taxes with because we now have to do it virtually.
But once again, Sean provided nothing but the best.

I hate tax season because I know nothing about tax. Every year seems like a struggle but thanks to Sean, it's not so bad after all. Getting text message reminders from this accountant that I have a upcoming appointment coming up with him. Never gave my phone number out to this company, not sure how they have my info and what they think they are doing by soliciting their business randomly like this, last message i received was on saturday at 8:52 am . Very unprofessional, would certainly not use a business such as this that conducts itself in this manner.

I can't believe they don't have more Google reviews! My wife, myself and my business partner have all been coming to this place for years. David Choi is awesome to work with - super chill and the first year we came in he found some mistakes we had made in the years past and it made a huge difference on our tax bill.

I left my full-time job to become a freelancer last month, so I started emailing different firms to get some professional advice. Someone from this company reached out to me right away and I was in there within the next few days for a consultation. David offered me advice that will definitely save me a lot of money. It would have been a very daunting task to file all the necessary paperwork with the state, run payroll, etc by myself but they've been serious time and life savers. I've been asking tons of questions and they're always answered promptly. Thank you!!

I recently had to deal with an understatement penalty via the IRS, and David was a pro in helping me out. I sent him all of the information, he prepared an amended return, turned around within a day or so, and gave me advice via email and phone along the way. He saved me a LOT of money that I would've likely overpaid to the government.

Can't recommend this firm enough if you have any questions regarding tax law, amended returns, etc. They were friendly and professional throughout the entire process.

I've used Sean as my CPA for a couple years now and he has been very helpful and flexible with my needs. After moving from LA to ATL, he still handled all my tax work while being available via text or email despite the time difference. He also helped me with some oddities with my IRA distributions much cheaper than other firms. Would definitely recommend.

My review is long over due, but David Choi has been our CPA for the past 5 years and he has been great. He has helped assist me with my personal and business taxes. Not only is everything done via email, he responds right away regarding any tax related issues. I really am appreciative of the way he handles client relationships -- not just when it is tax month.

I should've went with all the bad reviews for this Accountancy Corp on Yelp. I figured a CPA's office couldn't possibly be so bad. Boy, was I wrong! It really is as bad as all the reviews say.

My taxes are pretty simple, but these people really do not know what they are doing. I tried them based on yelp reviews! But that was a BIG MISTAKE. I was audited for all the taxes he filed- federal, state and city tax returns due to different types of mistakes made by the firm on each of the returns. These errors

I'm sorry but your response is inaccurate. You did file for us and Mr. Choi did speciify that it was a consultation fee. We ended up paying a few thousand dollars of tax dollars that we didn't have the pay and thankfully our new CPA got that refunded to us.

Went to Samuel Choi to have my business and personal taxes done. Was not very impressed for a few reasons:

1. Samuel had to call the tax software company because he did not know how to find something in the tax software, and after explained it as a complained that they (software company) are always changing things in it. So, I had to wait while he called support, was sort of wondering if I had made the right choice at that point, but too late to walk out.

2. Had to schedule payments to the IRS. Someone in his office screwed up and then I had to make 2 payments when I only wanted to allocated
