AERATE - Aerating your lawn decreases soil compaction, which allows for better drainage and more efficient uptake of nutrients through grassroots. DETHATCH - Thatch is a build up of dead matter on the lawn surface. Dethatching allows for free flow of air and space for new growth. Too much thatch in a lawn creates a great environment for disease and pests Dethatching Rakes.
Clay: You'll have poor drainage with clay soil. Its tiny particles bind together when wet and keep water from draining properly. Plants in clay get too much water and not enough air to thrive, and their roots have trouble penetrating the soil. Organic amendments will improve clay soils. Sandy: Sandy soils consist of larger particles, which create a more porous mix and allow water to drain through too quickly.
I know everyone has spring fever especially as the snow falls as I write this on the first day of March. Welcome to New England weather! You can start some of your seeds indoors now and help ease some of that spring fever. Some warm season crops germinate slowly so start them now.

Tomatoes, peppers and parsley have a longer germination time, even though you cannot not transplant them until the weather warms up, starting them now allows you to have the transplants ready for the correct time. These varieties respond well to heat so keep them in a warm well lite area. Using a germination heating pad does help with tomatoes and peppers.
Planting a vegetable garden is a rewarding project. Vegetable gardening will past the time quickly, and yield a bounty of fresh produce to enjoy through the summer months, especially with many people home currently with time on their hands. Most vegetable gardens, and flower beds as well, will benefit from adding organic matter to the soil regardless of how good your soil is.
Feed your potted plants with a slow release fertilizer such as Osmocote. Slow release fertilizers will feed your plants over time as you water the plants daily. The slow release fertilizers are better than liquid fertilizers because liquid fertilizers don't last and wash out of the soil quickly when daily watering is necessary.

This was my first experience with Grove Gardens and not my last. We had a death in the family and I ordered a Lily plant to be delivered to my niece. I placed the order from my home here in North Carolina and It was delivered within a couple of hours without any problems. Thanks again

Great cute garden center. Reasonable prices and quite a nice selection of perennials which i love. I am thinking maybe a name change though because I also thought they were associated with the awful landscaping company who does the parking lot where I work. Not a good business to be associated with.

Grove Gardens maintains the shopping plaza that I work in (Glenwood Pet Co Plaza) and EVERY year when it snows they do the worst job plowing our parking lot. They are the worst!
