Services
Drawing inspiration from family recipes and familiar flavors, our meals are a connection to home. Our roots are in the deep South regions of the United States; but our travels have exposed us to flavors worldwide. That being said, most of the flavors you'll find in our meal offerings are inspired by our own home-cooking experience and the comfort foods that we enjoy best ourselves.
We lean on our own backcountry experience in both creating Packit Gourmet meals and in curating the grocery items we stock on our shelves. We taste-test each and every item offered to ensure that the flavor, texture, nutrition and appearance of our trail meals are equal to what we eat at home. We understand that size, weight, water, resource conservation and packaging are important considerations, so we select items with that in mind.
Our meals are available only at PackitGourmet.com. As we grow, we do plan to accept wholesale accounts and we would love it if you would 'talk us up' to your local outfitter at that time. For now, we are kept very busy filling orders placed online. As much as we'd like to allow our customers to pick up orders in person, we are not licensed as a retail facility so, we'll need to ship your order directly to you.

I purchased 2 meals for a weekend outing in the backcountry. The All American Burger wrap and the chicken wraps. Both were easy to make and delicious. There is definitely a noticeable quality in the food between Packit and other freeze dried/dehydrated meal companies. I enjoy other companies, as well, but Packit definitely provides more of that “home cooked meal” feeling... and that’s a nice feeling to have on a chilly night in the backcountry!

I recently purchased 30+ meals for a canoe trip in MN. They arrived promptly and well packaged. In our group of six, no one else had any experience with Packit Goumet meals. Everyone loved them! Some in the group had previous experience with other freeze died meals and were skeptical. But after having eaten the Packit Gourmet meals, they were convinced that these meals were the best. Everyone liked the convenient packaging, instructions and prep. These meals allowed us to focus on fun and relaxation instead of meal prep and clean up.

I spent the past weekend in the New Mexico Wilderness to escape from all Covid nonsense.
I usually go with Mountain House but saw one of your Texas State Fair Chili meals at Whole Earth and decided to try it, along with 2 other brands.
The other 2 brands...I couldn't even finish them.
Yours on the other hand...wow.
I literally giggled when I saw the Fritos and cheese packet.
It was honestly better than any chili I've had in a restaurant in Austin.
As I was reading the packet I saw you guys were local which made me like it even more.
Keep up the good work. I look forward to stocking my elk

After years of choking down other freeze-dried backpacking meals I finally found Packit Gourmet. The meals are delicious, I have tried most of them and despite being a picky eater have loved every one. My favorites are the Diner Egg Scramble for breakfast and the Pasta Puttanesca for dinner. YUM! Also want to give a shoutout to their customer service, had a recent delivery issue with UPS and Packit's customer service rep solved the problem for me. I told them they need to give UPS customer service some lessons!! Five stars all around for this company!!

I went to Big Bend last week and backpacked for 5 days. I ate PackIt Gourmet meals every night and I loved them! When your backpacking every ounce counts and each meal was 100% worth it's weight (albeit very little weight). I loved that most of the meals come with all the needed accoutrements, like shredded cheese or tortilla chips, for a complete dinning experience. Also, the margarita mix was delicious! We were all so happy to have that little luxury after a long day of hiking!
