The Deschutes adventure touring bike represents true American hand-built quality at a price level that competes with the imported models from other brands. Uncompromising Co-Motion craftsmanship and design, well thought out specifications from stem to stern. Hand built with double-butted cromoly tubing and unicrown steel fork.
Standard features include disc brakes, rack/ fender mounts and three bottle mounts. Wide range Shimano 11-speed touring gears and upright positioning make it easy to ride all day. I'm really happy we went with the Deschutes instead of the standard LHT. I'd been used to a triple for touring but I'm convinced now that a double with the mountain bike rear cassette is the way to go.

Co-Motion Cycles started simply: We built a few bikes for ourselves and our friends, and discovered that we were able to rise to the occasion when challenged by new ideas or problems. Not once have we stopped questioning the way things have always been done.
While finding better ways to make our bicycles stand apart, we've learned more than we ever imagined, from designing new bicycle tubing to the intricacies of our own CNC machining and maintaining an amazing, talented workforce.1983 - Dwan Shepard completes his first bicycle frame, completing a framebuilding class taught by Master Builder Gary Hale.

We are a little different here at Co-Motion Cycles, and we take great pride in carving out our own path, navigating through the forests, rivers, the wet and dry lands, inter-woven with roads and trails; every perceivable line an opportunity for adventure. Our adventure has been grand. When you start with nothing and create a legacy, you've got to take a moment now and then to recognize how you've been blessed.
Co-Motion Cycles has built upon our range of single bicycles* since our beginnings in 1988. You can plainly see here our roots and our zeal for exploring the roads and trails of Oregon, the back country of North America, and the world beyond. Each bicycle in our collection has its own story; its reason for being.
Co-Motion Cycles has grown its reputation for producing world-renowned tandems since our inception in 1988. We put the status quo on its ear with our very first road tandems, garnering attention with racing successes on the local, national and international stages.
In the three-plus decades since, we've broadened the scope of what a tandem can do while simultaneously raising expectations for quality, longevity, and that special intangible feeling when you know a bike is just "right".Here is our complete selection of tandems, from our family-oriented PeriScope line, to our adventuresome Steelhead, uber-touring Speedster and Java tandems, speed-demon Macchiato and the "do-it-all" Carrera and Robusta tandems.

I bought a Co-Motion Divide with the Pinion 18 speed in 2019, two years ago. My experience with Co-Motion has been exceptional. I went to Eugene to the factory to visit as a final step before making a decision. It’s something I highly recommend if you’re going to buy the bike. I made some decision changes after talking with them personally and riding several of the bikes with different features. I have not been disappointed. The bike is a design example of form and function melded into one. I’ve now had a couple of thousand miles of touring and a couple of thousand more miles of just day

I am not one to routinely write reviews however I feel compelled to share my experience with the purchase of my new Siskiyou Co-Motion bicycle. From my first phone call to Co-Motion to my eventual return home to Florida the experience was exceptional.
Ethan, my salesperson was profoundly knowledgeable and beyond helpful from the initial call to delivery. He was spot on with his recommendations of both the correct bike and options. Ethan was always available to take my calls and answer questions that would arise during the process. Dwan, the founder of Co-Motion and design expert worked with me

We now have several Co-Motion's in the house, custom is there specialty and its not only custom sizing but also braze-ons and custom paint jobs, exc.
A couple of our bikes were built with the SS couplers which allows my wife and I to split each of them in half in less than a minute so they can be carried in the trunk. Its nice to have the bikes locked inside the vehicle on trips where we stop and can leave them securely in the car along the way.
The Co-Motion crew are all great folks, if you are ever in Eugene stop and ask them for a tour of their shop.
