We like to get to know who we work with. Our goal is to create clothing that is modern and functional, yet elegant, utilizing traditional tailoring techniques. We design your garment from the ground up based on occasion or specific needs. Your body type, budget, and lifestyle are our main points of guidance when designing your suit.
The concept behind BUREAU began in 2011 as a branded clothing operation specifically focused on traditional tailoring methods used to produce a collection piece by piece. The intention there was to thoughtfully create clothing fully knowing who each piece was being made for, rather that a mass produced collection fit for, well, no one quite frankly.
For us, fit is king and the details matter. Our MTM process is at the top tier of its kind. We do not just take chest, sleeve, and length measurements - we combine a series of precise measurements with a posture review to shape & drape the suit to your taste and build as best as possible. We take over 25 unique measurements to craft you the perfect fitting suit; a suit that is equally as flattering as it is functional.
We understand how difficult it can be to feel comfortable and confident dealing with standard sized suiting from rental shops or department stores. At BUREAU, we take over 25 measurements, to create a suit that fits your body type impeccably. We also account for the location, season and style of your wedding to ensure your garment is as functional as it is fitted.

I went here to get a suit for my vow renewal. Never having bought a custom suit before I had no idea what to expect, and what I experienced at Bureau was nothing short of an absolute blast of a time. I had so much fun with everything. I worked mainly with Jon and with Mike a little bit and every time I walked out of there I felt so confident and good about how I was going to look. It pains me to say this, but I’m not a fashionable guy. It’s a rare occurrence when I can look in the mirror and think, I look sharp. My outfits usually consist of tank tops and work boots. And that’s on a good day. But your wedding day is more than just some good day. Although much of our wedding planning hasn’t been ideal due to, well, everything that’s been happening, the one thing my fiancé and I wouldn’t dare make concessions on is looking good on the big day. Searching for a perfect outfit for my upcoming wedding day started out relatively uneventful. A trip to the outlet mall provided me with some decent, off the rack suits at an affordable price. I had found an acceptable option... it fit in some of the right places - needed help in other areas.... but it felt 'good enough'. Bureau was the first and will be the last place I go to for a custom designed and fitted suit. From the moment I walked in with my groomsmen on our first visit, they took care of us like kings! Mike, Joe, and John all showed a genuine interest in making sure we got exactly what I envisioned, and answered all of my questions with patience and genuine interest. I wanted a two custom suits for both my wedding day and rehearsal/welcome party. I could not have been happier that I went to Bureau to get them both done. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable, the whole experience was amazing, if I could get every suit I own custom made from them I would hands down. Best place for a custom suit in Buffalo.

I went to Bureau with the expectation of getting an idea of what a suit would cost me then continue shopping. I left after putting a deposit on a suit I’m beyond excited for. I worked directly with John and he made the experience so great!! It was super fun, educational, and did not feel like I was being pushed in one direction or another. Just an honest, accommodating staff. You won’t regret going even if you don’t decide to buy.

I did my initial consult with Mike, and while I thought I had a good idea of what I wanted going into the appointment, the customization options were endless. Mike was super knowledgeable and down to earth, and really helped me narrow it down based on my vision. I opted to get the wedding suit package, that came with a three piece suit, custom dress shoes, white dress shirt, socks, knit tie, suspenders, and pocket square, and it's definitely worth the money.

The time was upon me to update my wardrobe. My existing suits were starting to show their wear. You know the story.. my suits had seen more than their fair share of lipstick on the collar, bullet holes skirting the jacket fabric at the ribs and for whatever inexplicable reason, Bengal tiger placentae stains on the sleeves.

Love this place, what it brings to a city like Buffalo, and the price for the service and product is awesome. Jon is amazing to work with, down to earth and knows his stuff. Mike is just as pleasant to talk with and work with. I just had my first suit made and I plan on going back for more! Where do I start? Bureau is the only place that anyone should ever go for their formal attire. I am not one to write reviews on any website, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. Jon Eisenberg and his team are true professionals, who are meticulous in their ability to find the perfect outfit for your special event. Furthermore, the service is impeccable. You can't teach people how to care about their profession, and that is what truly separates Bureau from their competition. I consider myself extremely lucky to have used this company for my tuxedo, and for my groomsman tuxedos. Do yourself

Jon and Joe are truly committed to their craft. I came in asking for a custom made suit for my residency graduation at the end of last month. Tasked with only 5 weeks to do this (usually 6 weeks is the minimum), they went out of their way to accommodate me on record time. Jon even came in on his day off to meet me! Hands down best looking and fitting suit I've ever owned. Buffalo is lucky to have these guys.

I went in last May not even knowing what this place was. When I left I knew I had a place to get all my suits. I had just been to New York 3 weeks prior and had been roaming Manhattan for a good place to to get a custom suit. 16sur20, Michael Andrews and Suit Supply were all good, but Bureau was simply better. If you've never had a custom suit, I would definitely recommend it. It literally

What a great place! A cozy store-front on Elmwood that caters to all men of all shapes and sizes to have them dress as good as George (as in Clooney). Patterns, cuff styles, collar styles, buttons - OH MY! Hubby decided to purchase a shirt and we to have his measurements taken and shirt made. We are waiting for the shirt to come back (takes about 6 weeks). and I'll update the review then. I have high hopes for this store and the shirt..
