The Cedar Room at Mercantile and Mash, located in the celebrated Cigar Factory, is an open and airy space featuring historic wood columns, hardwood floors and original elements of the circa 1881 building. The walls consist of rustic brick and floor-to-ceiling windows that reveal a view of the architecturally acclaimed Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge.
The 8,000 square foot private event venue can accommodate parties and celebrations of up to 500 guests, from intimate cocktail receptions to seated dinners for 300 guests. The space features a bridal suite, built-in bar, and a courtyard with 1,500 square feet of additional event space. Onsite parking for guests is available after 5:00 pm.

The Cedar Room provides a beautiful backdrop for hosting a wedding. We love the exposed brick, wooden floors and openness of the space. We essentially had a blank canvas in which to dream up our perfect ceremony and reception. Kara and her staff were excellent and provided seamless execution. The food is also top notch. I highly recommend this venue.

The Cedar Room is a stunning space to have any event. Our daughter's wedding was breathtaking. Renee, and the rest of the staff at the venue, is professional and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and they kindly worked with us as we had to postpone a couple of times last year. We highly recommend The Cedar Room!

The Cedar Room's beauty brought all of my wedding dreams to life. The courtyard hardly needs any décor as it is naturally breathtaking. The inside of the Cedar Room is truly unique, while also allowing couples to completely transform the space into their own vision. The staff at the venue is professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this perfectly located space in Charleston!

The Cedar Room is one of our favorite blank canvas venues in Charleston! Not only does it have the beautiful exposed brick walls, but the windows that lookout to the bridge make for an incredible view. Their sales and events team is fantastic and always goes above and beyond for our clients making every event we host seamless!

Our Kerwin L Felix Band performed at the Cedar Room on NYE and not only is it an amazing venue, but the staff is as well. Graham is very professional and kind, and she knows exactly what she's doing when it comes to putting on events. The space is perfect to host your next event- whether it's a wedding, corporate event, or you just want to party!

Such a beautiful events space! My husband and I attended a wedding here this weekend and we were blown away by the entire property. The couple hosted their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception here and each space was beyond gorgeous. We were all very impressed by the food that was served as well (shout out to the chicken and waffles station)! Definitely check The Cedar Room out if you are planning to get married in Charleston- you and your guests will not be disappointed!

Amazing space for any event and I was privileged to attend a fantastic one for an even better cause.
The lighting, table set ups, acoustics, space for food tables, bar service- everything you could want for a special night for any reason- are top notch.
The event I attended was a charity dinner for Feed The Need, a local group founded by the inimitable Mickey Baskt, and held by Mickey along with the dynamic leader of Indigo Road Restaurant Group (Mercantile & Mash, Oak, Indaco et al), Steve Palmer.
