From our beginning, we have worked hard to stay on the cutting edge of what people are buying, collecting, and needing for their home. We pride ourselves for offering unique treasures.

About Us Report

The Albemarle Marketplace opened in its current location in 2006, and is owned and operated by Christy Wood. After a long career in the sales and marketing arena, Christy and her family moved to North Carolina from California. She was looking to create a business where she would have flexibility while her children were young and still in school.

DIY Workshops Report

Here at the Marketplace we offer a variety of workshops for fun and skill. We have a full studio employing a staff of painting and craft experts, local artists, health and wellness coaches and more. Our classes range from sip and paint canvas classes, furniture painting and technique workshops, DIY Craft Classes, Health & Wellness seminars and much more.

I love this place. I can spend hours here. So
much to see. Need to walk through 2-3 times, or you may miss miss something you didn’t see in first walk.

I love their stuff!!! I made a second trip all the way from Robeson county to get some curio cabinets I saw the first time. And I picked up more things that I liked. My husband actually loved the Marketplace too 😊

A great place to spend a few hours looking for that perfect antique. Lots to look at and prices are very reasonable. Parking is good and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Love coming here when I'm in town. Very clean and we'll maintained. Couldn't find anything this visit, maybe next time. Heard they were slowly moving to a new location by the end of the year.

I love places where there is always something for everyone! Chock full of small booths, I've shopped here mostly for furniture and decor, but found that this is a great place to bring visiting family and friends.

Quaint, very organized & clean for a antique shop. Lady at front desk was very welcoming. I have a boothe at a antique store so comparing the two the prices here were a little more but it could just be location difference. My hubby and I enjoyed looking. I'm sure if you're looking for something specific you'd find it here. Happy Hunting!!
