I bought a used 2016 RAV4 with 80k miles. In one year I have put over 20k miles on it and it still runs like a clock. But recently, during the recent heat wave, the AC would stop working. When it reached 85 degrees, it would always stop working. I couldn’t get it to fail at the dealership but finally it failed for Al and Mike and they determined it was the AC Compressor. They installed an OEM Toyota ac compressor and $1,400 later the problem is 100% fixed. Yes it’s expensive, but the ac compressor lasted over 100k miles so I can’t complain about that. The car would never fail for a mechanic

I drive 25 mins past dozens of other mechanics to get to Al. I can TRUST him. He's totally up front when something is a bigger job/ expense, often returns vehicles saying "all clear" after state inspection and defers some issues to a later date as needed/ safe. He's not just looking to bill you for as many things as you can, he's giving honest, reliable feedback about your car. Letting the consumer know you can do it now or wait six months. Whichever you prefer. What all service folk should do but few do in actuality. He's worked on my newer cars and also my son&apos

Al is great. He is honest, quick, upfront and always available to help you out. I started using him because of the convenience of his shop to my home but will continue to use him and recommend to others based on his work and honesty. He never tries to get the sale if it’s not in your best interest and I really appreciate that.

Consumer beware!!!! Do not go to this shop. Estimate was ABSURDLY high. Ridiculous additions were made to the estimate. I went to a private shop because I didn't want the dealer to charge me too much. My mistake was NOT going to the dealer and taking it to a local shop. Owner was rude, and even mocked me over the phone. Not the customer service I would expect from a shop that should thrive on good customer service. There are so many other, FAIR shops in West Chester that will give you an honest price and quality service. This is not one of those shops. Do not waste your time or min

We've lived in West Chester for 25+ years. Al's father and now Al have worked on all of our cars. This is a very stable and trustworthy shop in a time when businesses come and go, Also, Al is very technical and knowledgeable and does good work at a fair price. All of the staff are very friendly and easy to work with.

Al's Automotive services my fleet of work trucks as well as my personal vehicles. They are always quick and very efficient. We had been with four other shops prior to finding Al. We have now been with them for nearly five years and have not considered going elsewhere once. Al's understands that when my trucks are in his shop, they are producing nothing for the company. He gets them done quickly and at very reasonable costs. They are easy to talk to and have a great feel for their role on keeping our business moving. I've had great experiences at Al's Automotive. They're extremely honest and talk you through all of the repairs to help you understand what's going with your car. I really appreciated their help in prioritizing the repairs and figuring out what needed to be done immediately, and what could wait till a later date. If you're looking for a repair shop, I would definitely recommend them!

Al and his staff perform great work at a great price. the work is always good and you are always informed as to the necessities and well a recommended future items that may be needed. While the waiting room/office may not be glamorous it is clear that money was spent on a first rate staff. This is an honest shop in a less then honest world.

I moved to West Chester from California three years ago and needed an independent mechanic for my Chrysler minivan, BMW 740 and a Ford Crown Victoria. I like to use a mechanic that is a "car guy" and Al is very knowledgeable. He does a great job at a very reasonable price. He always communicates the anticipated cost and if he encounters any additional mechanical issues, he offers good suggestions. Very pleasant and friendly staff.
