Services
You should not need any maintenance, but we'll get you back on track if anything goes wrong. The short answer is, it depends. The long answer can be found here. I generally tell people to allow for about 1-5% of the property value for an outdoor lighting budget. Not everyone needs a lighting designer.
We approach every home as a unique canvas and every system is designed based on your home's individual architecture and your landscape's specific needs. We make it a point to leave your landscape undisturbed. We install all of our lighting systems using hand tools and are very careful not to destroy roots systems.
You come home and for some reason, that gorgeous Japanese Maple isn't lit up the way it should be. Maybe a wire was accidentally cut, maybe the LED driver failed. Whatever it is, just call us and we will come and take care of it. Service calls are for anything out of the ordinary with your existing lighting system.
Our installations are executed with the care of your yard at the top of our minds. All cable burial is handled with hand tools to ensure that we have minimal effect on your landscaping. We are careful to avoid root systems and we strive to leave your yard looking as undisturbed as possible. We dig every trench for burying wire with hand tools.
Landscape lighting takes a lot of abuse. Maintenance plans keep your landscape lighting system functioning optimally and looking as terrific as the day it was installed. We check all electrical and control systems for optimal performance, adjust and aim fixtures as landscapes changes, and keep fixtures looking and working great for years to come.

I was thoroughly impressed. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He walked us through the needs for our house and explained some additional ideas that would help the project look nicer, but was always mindful of our budget for the project. Before we got the lighting installed, he brought some temporary lights so we could get an idea of what it would look like. I was recommending him to friends before we even got the lighting installed because he was such a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with our front yard outdoor lighting- looks awesome! Michael and Mandy were great to work with through the whole process! They showed up for all appointments as scheduled and sent all estimates and correspondence very quickly. They did everything as planned, as stated. Outdoor Lighting Guy has installed landscape lighting at our current home as well as our previous home. Michael has a very good eye for placing the right type of light at the perfect spot. He and his team are reliable, professional and reasonably priced. The work they have done allows us to enjoy our yard all day and all night. Instead of looking out into the dark night, we get to enjoy a beautiful yard and entertain outdoors in the evening. Beautiful work!

When my outdoor lighting started malfunctioning, I called my original installer. After several weeks of trying to contact the company I decided to look elsewhere. I found The Lighting Guy. He quickly responded and was able to walk me through how to look for and replace the defective part. He further offered to drop by and replace the defective part at his own cost. This company goes above and beyond in service to help the community! He has my future business and recommendation.

After meeting with three different DFW outdoor lighting companies and getting quotes from all three we decided to go with Michael. His thorough walk-through, explanation of options, and variety of fixtures made us feel very confident going with his bid. Michael was great about communicating time frame and scope of work and once completed, the lighting looked even better than we'd thought it could. We were so pleased with how the lights look that we asked Michael to provide a quote for lighting in an additional area of our yard. I cannot recommend The Outdoor Lighting Guy highly enough.

Michael installed the lighting in my back yard and it turned out awesome! He met with me at my house and we discussed several different options. He was open and honest about the pros and cons of each option and we are incredibly happy with the end result. I really liked knowing that I was working with the owner of the company and that he would be the one I was dealing with throughout the entire process. It was even he and his wife that came out to do the actual installation! I would definitely recommend The Outdoor Lighting Guy to anyone needing landscape lighting.
