We are known for our 1,500 foot boardwalk through the natural wetlands to the historic Suwannee River where you then have access to 2,000 feet of river side to fish, enjoy the beautiful views, sit and relax, or take a stroll along the river's edge on the trail that leads to 'Jim's Place' where you can rest, relax, or picnic beside the spring fed creek where it joins the river.
Take time to explore the amazing variety of plants, trees, and wildlife. Our reviews show that we are known as being the quietest and most peaceful park in the area as we are surrounded by state protected land. We're in the perfect location for fishing, bird watching, hiking, biking, boating, visiting local natural springs, and most of all, getting away from it all and just relaxing.

Suwannee River Hideaway is one of the most beautiful nature-based RV parks you will have the pleasure of camping in. We have the natural beauty and wildlife that you would find and enjoy in a state park, but with more privacy, security, peace, and quiet. We are located in Old Town, Florida, just 3 miles south of 19/98, but far enough so you do not see or hear traffic.

We spend time here every winter on our escape from Michigan to Florida with our 5th wheel. Unlike most private parks, Hideaway is quiet, spacious, and full of things to discover in nature. It is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. It feels like a get-away without being too far from conveniences.

We just spent a wonderful two nights here and we will definitely be back!! The camp host was so welcoming and accommodating! It truly felt like we were coming home to family! The bath house was immaculately clean and the water nice and hot. Staff was around and available to help with any request. The boardwalk out to the Suwannee River is definitely worth the Trek. Only 15 minutes to chiefland which has everything you could possibly need. The campground even had great T-Mobile signal. We stayed on tent site number 3 which is one of the biggest and it was absolutely perfect. Just a hop away from

This is truly a hideaway! We stayed for 2 weeks to get our bearings as first time RV travelers and it was a pleasant stay! Cute park not super big and was not very crowed! Bath house had 3 shower stalls, 3 bathroom stalls and 2 large counters but we didnt use this facility. The laundry room consisted of 2 washers and 2 dryers and while they need an update they did the job just fine. The bugs were pretty bad but there were a few good rain days during our stay. Our site W2 back right up to the pond, there were 2 baby gators living in that pond but they kept to themselves and were a joy to watch and

Instead of doing my niece's spring break at the beach; we decided to go camping. After checking out state parks, which were booked with snow birds, we found this campground. It is wonderful! Quiet, clean, full hook ups. We spent 7 days there and loved it. The owners were able to accommodate our rv next to my sister's rv so we could be opposite's facing the awning towards each other. Worked out quite well. The boardwalk to the river is awesome. We saw a snake, owls, lightning bugs, heard coyotes, we even saw someone hook a good size bass from the pond! The pool was not heated, so the best time to

Really enjoyed this campground. There wasn't anything spectacular about it, but did love that it was a good bit off of the highway and you couldn't hear road traffic. The bathhouse was clean and well kept. Has a small catch and release lake/pond for fishing, and my 9 year old caught a brim and a decent sized catfish. One trail to walk; boardwalk out to the Suwanee River and a little further. We had a great site - was large and secluded. Full hook-ups made it ideal! They advertise a 1920's general store with all natural, grain fed beef available to purchase; however, there really wasn't a selection

We stayed here 2 nights and I wish it could have been more! The hosts are incredible accommodating and friendly, especially love the sweet puppy welcoming committee! The location is easy to get to. The campground is beautiful and charming. Our spot was perfectly level, had a newer picnic table, and a beautiful view of the pond. The boardwalk and nature trail are awesome. The bath house is spacious and clean with lots of hot water with good pressure. Price is reasonable, especially for all that you get. We will definitely be back next time we travel through this part of Florida.
