For over 50 years Oakland Periodontal Associates has provided excellence in periodontal therapy throughout the greater Pittsburgh region. Our staff is dedicated to providing you with the finest and most professional quality of periodontal care available today. Dr. James H. Meyers received a B.S. degree in Cardio-Pulmonary Science from Boston University and a D.M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants. Periodontists are also experts in the treatment of oral inflammation. Periodontists receive extensive training in these areas, including three additional years of education beyond dental school.
Our two offices are conveniently located at 5750 Centre Avenue, Suite 380. in Shadyside and at 1720 Washington Rd. in Upper St. Clair. We are proud of our office, which utilizes state of the art equipment and advanced sterilization systems. Our caring staff, comforting doctors and soothing background music give our dental office a stress-free, relaxing atmosphere.

For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards, cash, money orders and personal checks. Unless other arrangements are made in advance, payment is due at the time service is rendered. Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office, regardless of your insurance coverage.

Dr Jeff Manning and his staff are amazing! I had an implant procedure and everything went very well! No pain during the whole procedure and they continued to follow up with me days after the procedure to make sure things we going as planned. I would certainly recommend Dr Manning’s practice for any dental needs! Best!

I had full mouth surgery done due to having periodontal disease. I was scared due to having bad past experiences with dentists but their doctor made me feel comfortable. Very laid back atmosphere and nice staff. The receptionist helped me understand my dental insurance coverage and there were no "surprise costs" (which some places do). I am now on a rotating cleaning scheduled between them and my general dentist. I have had nothing but good experiences.
