Services
We handle appeals in both state and federal courts. We are prepared to argue for the reversal of an adverse ruling or to protect a favorable one. We know how to preserve issues at the trial level to protect the record in the event of an appeal. As an integral part of our role as both trial and appellate counsel, we stay abreast of legal developments so that we are aware of the issues likely to affect our clients and our cases.
Litigation is becoming increasingly complex. The plaintiff's attorney will hire liability experts, lifecare planners, and economists to increase the value of their claims. A case that might have once been resolved quickly for little money will now last for several years and require a trial as the only viable response to unreasonable demands.
Our attorneys represent contractors, subcontractors and developers who are involved in construction defect claims. We have handled cases involving synthetic stucco, EIFS, mold, asbestos and other defects in residential and commercial buildings and have participated in class action litigation. We stay abreast of the changes in construction law and are prepared to navigate the fluctuating landscape.
An effective estate plan can help you minimize your tax liability, while allowing you to stay in control of your assets. Estate planning can protect your family and save them from having to make choices without the proper guidance. We assist clients by drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, living wills, living trusts, charitable trusts, and many other estate planning documents.
Accidents and injuries occur in nursing homes and assisted living facilities every day. Despite the precautions an assisted living facility takes, a resident may fall and break a bone or develop a pressure ulcer. Often, this may say more about a resident's condition than it does about the facility's quality of care.
