Last summer I didn't get the chance to have their yummy custard, so in early summer well after they opened I stopped to just go for the vanilla cone I'd been craving. The place was quite busy, as expected, so I took my cone back to my car to eat. It tasted just like I remembered, but imagine my disappointment when I discovered, a few licks down, that the swirl of custard was hollow, with just a tiny tail inside the otherwise empty cone. At $4 for a medium cone (and I always leave a tip), I ended up with something more like a small.

Staple since discovering this gem 20 years ago when my family moved to the area. Have long since moved and have no shame admitting that I’ll travel 30-45 mins to try a new or high rated ice cream spot and a lot of times find them mediocre to somewhat of a let down. I’ve long since moved from the area but any time I’m remotely close to Cibiks, it’s worth planning the rest of your day or night around it. Their Mississippi Mud Pie is my personal go to, but have never had anything I didn’t love, or contemplate ordering when seeing someone take delivery of a pure gold form of frozen dairy

Cibik’s provides some delicious 🍦. The options are endless: hand-spun , handmade and even vegan ice cream is available. The Oreo™ hurricane is my go to. Milkshakes and dipped cones are great too. I treasure the create your own flavor choices. Great place to cool down after a day in the summer heat ☀️

Used to go here all the time as a kid, and it was a very generic but fun ice cream stop with Hershey ice cream scoops and fun car food boxes to eat your fried chicken fingers from! But NOW...OMG the GLOW UP!
SO SO SO good! A must stop if you are a local or passing through. You can basically add all sorts of toppings to either chocolate, vanilla or a swirl of both custard. The custard was delicious! They have tons of toppings and a weekly ice cream menu! You can also add their custard to waffles! !! The waffle sandwich was delicious and a must try.

I love dairy island, and judging by the summer crowds, many others do as well. It isn't summer in the chagrin valley until Dairy Island opens.
They have fast and friendly service, and the soft serve is my favorite. It's also a great place for burgers and fries. One of the best experiences you can have is getting your ice cream from the window and sitting outside and enjoying it.

Dairy Island is a really cute local business and the location is very convenient. There's a cute putt putt place right behind them, which is a great place to go for a fun date and then get ice cream afterward! There's no indoor seating since it's really just an ice cream stand but there are plenty of picnic tables and benches to sit on while you eat your ice cream!

Each time we return to Ohio, and the Chagrin Falls area, we make it a point to stop by Dairy Island. The ice cream and the experience are always great. You can't beat eating your delicious ice cream treat to an Aerosmith ballad or a snappy 70's rock tune. Personally, I am a BIG fan of a twist cone "WITH EYES"!
In the past year the place has been given a facelift and now sports a much cleaner and updated look. However this comes at a price as a small twist cone is now $3.00. Good thing I don't live here anymore as my Dairy Island habit might need an intervention. Ciao.

Ice cream is 5 stars. Staff is a 1. Staff not knowledgeable about their deals offered and were pretty rude. I showed the girl the Yelp offer and she said she didn't know anything about it. I said ok...would you mind finding out? She said, I'll have to get my manager. Then she sat there and stared at us. Finally, I said, ok, thanks, do you mind? She was obviously miffed we asked. I didn't purchase anything else since I was unimpressed with the customer service, but what we did have was good.

First time visit was a great experience for a sunny day drop-in with my daughter. Lots of signs about custom ice cream, but finally found one with all the options.
Made it super easy cuz the staff was friendly & helpful, but not overly so.
Custard, ice cream, grilled to order burgers.
The cheeseburger came with fresh tomato and lettuce. It was much better than I expected.

My family went to Cibik's Dairy Island last night for ice cream and the experience was second to none.They have multi flavors for dipping .They have the best Sundaes --I love the butterscotch dip. The owner Mr. Cibik is the nicest man and the staff are as sweet as the Custard --I highly recommend to everybody going to Dairy Island.

We loveeeee dairy island! I have been coming here for over 15 years and it just keeps getting better. Their fried ice cream with honey on top is my absolute favorite. The ice cream cone portions are good. We love the putt putt in the back! It's easy enough for my 4 year old daughter and it's cute! Great place to hang out in the summer!

I have family who live in Bainbridge, and every time we come to visit them, Dairy Island is a must stop! I love the custard with the crunchy topping; I've yet to find anything like it at any other ice cream shop I've visited around the country. I have also tried a few of their sundaes, and my favorite is the Death by Reese's Cup, which is exactly what it sounds like. It's glorious.
I haven't had any of the actual food, but it always smells so yummy!
When it comes to simple and delicious ice cream, Dairy Island is the place to go!

Head to Chagrin Falls for ice cream instead. I ordered a cup. The woman handed me a cone. I told her I wanted it in a cup so she took a spoon and pushed the ice cream off the cone and into a cup.
Half the fun of getting soft serve is the twirly tip. But I just got a pile of mash.

I mean, it isn't a real trip to the movies without stopping by Dairy Island afterwards. Actually, what I just described is an essential experience of a Chagrin Falls child on their first date. As cute as that sounds, the ice cream soft serve isn't that good here... It's no East Coast that's for sure. Considering it's location and friendly appearance though, I foresee Dairy Island never closing and being a staple on East Washington for decades to come.
