Katie's career began at Cutting Edge Academy in Kansas City, where she completed 1500 hours in the classroom. This experience provided her with knowledge of theory, as well as the practical work needed to pass state board examinations. While attending Cutting Edge Katie was accepted for a two year internship at one of Kansas City's premier Salons, Mario Tricoci, a brand known for excellence, and for paving the way for young talent.

Katie has been my stylist going on 7 years now and she is nothing short of magical. She changed my life! She is the sweetest, coolest girl and the best stylist on the planet. Katie is a true artist and has become one of my nearest and dearest friends. There is nothing she cannot do with a head of hair. She deserves more than 5 stars.......she deserves all the stars in the Universe!! I love her to pieces and I thank her from the bottom of my roots.
