Got caught in a speed trap in a garbage, parasitic, crotch of a town in NJ where their main source of income is traffic tickets.
I was in the middle of moving so I was very busy and had to deal with multiple issues.
1) As a result of moving, I specifically and clearly told Futerfas I could not make it in person in court. He later tells me he missed the court date and because I didn't show up either, he had to do some fancy maneuvering for the judge to forgive us. I specifically told him I could not appear in person.
2) He said he was going to request discovery from the prosecutor.

Ric set expectations right from the start and delivered exactly what he told me when we first met. He knocked a very serious ticket down to a minor violation and a measly fine compared to what I originally expected. Mr. Futerfas was great from the very beginning. He took the time to review my situation with me and was very willing to clarify any uncertainties as this was my first time needing to appear in court. He was also very straightforward and honest with me throughout the entire process. I chose Ric to be my lawyer for two traffic tickets that I got and I am so glad I did. I was facing a pretty amount of points on my license but ended up with zero! Unfortunately, I found myself in a situation where I needed an attorney. I called around to a few different firms and ultimately I chose Mr. Futerfas to represent me. I found him to be honest and up front when it came to my 'best case scenario'. He didn't sugar-coat things and make lofty promises like the others I spoke to.
