IPS Testing was founded in Appleton, WI in 1989 and grew out of the Institute of Paper Chemistry.

Nonwovens are natural or synthetic long fibers that are bonded together mechanically, thermally, or chemically, rather than being woven or knitted. Nonwovens can be made from a single homogenous layer, multiple layers of the same material, or multiple layers of different materials in order to achieve the desired performance and aesthetic properties.
