Delish was founded by makeup artist & stylist Heather Heen. Having been involved in makeup and styling for over a decade, Heather has been a preferred choice for word-of-mouth weddings and special events well before Delish Makeup had been created. Passionate in the creative arts, Heather attended the University of Hawaii and obtained a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising.
She also took business classes to supplement her education knowing that one day she may run her own company. Heather and her team helped start my perfect day. From start to finish my wedding was absolutely amazing and Heather with her girls helped set the tone for sure. Hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, my mom, and myself turned out wonderful. I am not the best with makeup so I told her to do what would look best and she did not disappoint. My girls also loved their hair and makeup. Heather helped keep me calm and talked story with us to keep the mood lighter and it 100% worked. AMAZING! A+++ Heather was wonderful. Responsive, funny, friendly, listened to my requests, made me look very good, gave me tips to keep my hair and makeup looking good til my 6:30pm wedding ceremony, and was able to accommodate my change of plans super last minute! (I texted her late at night like 11pm the night before my wedding, I didn't expect her to even reply but she did! and she did her best to fit me in to her busy schedule, she even came early!) I LOVE Heather! We did a trial run a few weeks before my wedding just when salons were allowed to open. I was super nervous but it was great. She asked what I had in mind; I told her I was open to anything since I don't really wear makeup anymore. Fast forward two weeks to my wedding day and it was amazing! Seriously AMAZING! She came over, did her thing, and it looked fabulous. She is so easy to work with and I had a blast with her; she's super fun and very laid back but extremely professional at the same time. I HIGHLY recommend her.

I have social anxiety, i had tried messaging a few places but never went through. I was hesitant booking makeup for my WEDDING DAY I thought I'll do my hair and make up--no problem. I scheduled a trial with Heather in Palolo right before my engagement photos in October. She made me feel comfortable, which was important since I rarely get my hair and make up done. I found Heather through Yelp and I'm so glad I decided to have her do my hair/makeup for my wedding! She and her team are awesome - they are so kind, fun and laid back. I wanted a soft glam/natural look and she achieved it perfectly. They were on time and did my mom and sister's makeup as well as my mother-in-law and sister-in-law's hair and makeup.

Thank you so much to Heather and her girls for doing the hair and make-up for my sister in law's wedding last month. We had Moana as our hair stylist and Ren as our make-up artist. They were amazing! They came all the way out to Turtle Bay Resort on an early Saturday morning and were both on-time. They were kind, patient, and productive. Thank you to Heather for getting me dolled up for a friends wedding! My appointment was at 11 AM, but Heather took me in half an hour earlier and got me out in record time that way I didn't have to rush over to the wedding venue! She definitely listened to what type of hair I wanted and added her (much needed) input to make sure it looked good. I left all the make-up work to her because I hardly ever put make-up on my own. Thanks again for an awesome experience and for allowing my husband sit in on the appointment! We definitely had an awesome experience!

I hired heather to do my makeup for a family portrait session. She came to our hotel room and quickly set up her things and went straight to work. She is so wonderful, laid back and easy to talk to. She really listened to my requests and was very flexible. She was even okay to continue to do my makeup while I was holding baby and nursing lol she was so cool with it and made me look so so beautiful. I am very happy that I picked her! Heather is hands down the best makeup artist ever! She is professional and extremely friendly! I felt like the session was more like girl chat the whole time. I had makeup and hair done for a military ball that I had scheduled way too early as I didn't know the ball started much later than I orig thought. She made me feel beautiful and my makeup and hair lasted all night! She let me keep my hair in clips per my request so I can remove it myself and my hair can stay curly. Makeup looked bomb and my date for the ball definitely fell in love with me that night ;). She is the best!! Book her now

Heather is the real deal. Always come highly recommended and now we know why! Patient and professional. She showed up to our hotel room, prompt and on time and went straight to work. She was all smiles as she worked, definitely has a fun spirit. Listened to our requests and gave suggestions and worked with what we got. Absolutely impressed with the final results. Heather was AMAZING!! She came highly recommended by my wedding coordinator. From day 1 when I had my hair and make up trial with her she made me feel so comfortable like we were old friends! She listened to my requests and worked with me to make sure that I loved the end product. I don't wear a lot of makeup, so heather kept it light but still looking like "bride make up" if that makes sense...

I put my faith in Best Day Ever (my wedding planner) to find me vendors in Hawaii for my wedding. I am so happy they hooked me up with Heather! She was so great to work with.
