We refer patients to imaging centers to have X-rays, CT scans and MRIs in order to establish a specific diagnosis. Dr. Igor Smelyansky also performs EMG tests in order to find out the exact source of the patient's symptoms (he graduated from a prestigious NYU Medical Center EMG/EEG fellowship back in 2004).

We would like to thank all Medical Providers who refer their patients to Omega Pain Management, PC, the greater Knoxville pain center. We appreciate your trust and referrals, and please be assured that our office will make every possible effort to schedule your patients as quickly as possible. We will contact the Workers Compensation Insurance case worker in order to get prior authorization to see the patient.
After that, we will mail out a New Patient Packet to you. However, you do not have to wait for the mailed forms from our office. The imaging reports have to come directly from the referring doctor's office or we can always call the imaging facility where you had your studies done. It would be of great help to us if you can provide us with exact name of the imaging facility as well as the exact date when you had your imaging studies completed.
New and established patients who want to be seen at our pain clinic Knoxville TN area office can use our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) "Patient Portal" to pre-register and / or update their main personal contact account information (name, address, phone, email, etc.) Patients can also update their insurance plan, past medical and social history, the name of their primary physician, their pharmacy and what medications they are currently on.
Follow I40E/I75 N. Take exit 383 from I40E/I75, merge onto I40/I75 N, use the right lane to take exit 383 for TN-322 towards Northshore Dr/Papermill Rd. I loved going to Dr. Igor, but recently I was dismissed for not having enough of a medication in my system. A medication that I didn't like and didn't work well on all of which was discussed with provider that I wanted to ween off of it. I still have the medicine but I wasn't even allowed to speak with my doctor after receiving the letter of dismissal. That's messed up. I trusted Dr. Igor and Stacy, and got great results from injections and other treatments. But I was made to feel like a criminal, and I'm blown away learning they wouldn't even speak with me about the decision to dismiss me from

I had previously put a less than favorable post however my reason for changing or updating my post is because I messaged the pain clinic messenger about my appointment and I received a phone call from omega pain clinic and I was given an appointment for Tuesday 9/7/2021. I am grateful they were able to get me an appointment.

I went there in 2018 and I got discharge from there and I really don't know why unless I had something in system that I received from Fort Loudon Hospital when I spent 18 days being treated with mursa infection in my left eye. I didn't know what they give me there for the pain. They had my med info that I was on. It was hard on me and I wish I was still a patient at Omega cause they were nice and and I never had any long wait time. That was important cause I am in wheelchair and my body is severely messed up due to a car accident I was in 2009. I wandering if you would ever consider reviewing me

I have a true case of RSD/CRPSD from a car accident 21 years. I'm originally from GA. And was looking for a new Doctor. The first thing I loved was that it took over 3 months to get in with Doc. That tells you alot when you were bounced around previously. My condition is a very tricky one. Doc. went through my office transfer paper work. Went and got his staff to come look and learn from me. That then told me how knowledgeable he was. I have been a patient of his for over 3 years now. Best practice I've ever been too, yes it has pain clinic in title. Clinic is worthless! I called from Guam to apply as a new patient. I have suffered from chronic neck pain since 2004 from an accident at work. The woman on the phone at the Omega clinic said although they do accept Worker's Comp Insurance, they would never prescribe the 80 mg a day of Oxycontin that I have been prescribed for the past 11 years. I couldn't believe when she said the best their clinic could do is prescribe to me 10 mg of Oxycontin a day. What a joke! Don't waste your time applying at this clinic.

Omega Pain Management is by far the best pain management facility I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient at. Dr. Igor is not only a pain management specialist but is also a board certified Neurologist, which I believe gives him a greater understanding of how to diagnose and treat chronic pain. He is highly professional but also seems to care a great deal for his patients. I have been to facilities in the past that seemed to be interested in just throwing meds at the problem instead of finding a path to genuinely finding a long term solution to chronic pain.
