Services
I started my culinary career as a chef at age 5, with my first restaurant under the kitchen table thanks to my very patient and creative parents. Today, I am a French-trained chef. I studied as an Apprentice in Paris at La Varenne, Ecole de Cuisine. After many years of traveling and cooking, my husband, Michael, and I came to Virginia Beach to be closer to our large, extended family and continue our pursuit of creating culinary delights.
We don't offer a cardboard box full of food and a recipe. Our healthy, fresh seasonal meals are fully prepared and home delivered - ready to serve and enjoy. Meals can be tailored to suit dietary needs and we are happy to substitute a side for another if already available on the weekly menu options.
Our Thanksgiving menu will be delivered ready prepared with re-heating instructions included. You can also pick up from Foodie's Local Market located at 1060 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach 23452. Pies are priced individually and are excluded from our set dinner menu price. We have limited availability on our Thanksgiving desserts - order early to avoid disappointment.

Your event, whether a corporate function, cocktail party, dinner party or big birthday bash, is a huge deal. We recognize this and are here to help with every step or just those in between. We can handle everything for all occasions - menu planning, site scouting, rental orders to coordinating with anyone else involved.

Cat's like my big sister.. With 20+ years history alone in Hampton Roads, it's a no brainer eating Cat Food! DUH! I know how hard she's worked. OMG do I know how attention to detail she is. If you don't know what a dish is that she prepares? She'll explain it to you "respectfully". Unlike some of the smug and snooty chefs that work off their NAME, 10-1 burn water and can make anything taste like carboard. You order from Catherine.. STAND BACK.. Facer smackin' yummy goodness.. (Can I get my $50 now?) JK

Imagine planning a trip and not having thought about what you were going to do for meals? Doesn’t sound logical does it? In our case, Catherine defied logic and came to our rescue. Not only did she do this for a party of 12 business men on no notice, her cape never touched the ground. She prepared and nailed charcuterie, fruit and cheese boards as… well an incredible plated meal two nights in a row. The part I left out was the lead time ha ha, we gave her none. I believe we called her on a Tuesday she had meals delivered Wednesday, and oh, going above and beyond, she carried them up

What a joy! Catherine and Patrick came to our beach house for a fun family activity, in which we cooked multiple phenomenal dishes. They did an excellent job catering (no pun intended!) to the whole scale of… attendees: those more and less culinarily-inclined. The food was PHENOMENAL and the overall experience was an absolute joy. They were so pleasant, talented, and fun! It was an excellent bonding experience.

I found Catherine’s Catering via an internet search after we tried 3 other places to cater my son’s high school graduation party. All of which did not have enough staff to accommodate us. We couldn’t have been… more pleased with our decision! The food was fabulous, and we received lots of compliments. Catherine was very flexible when we had to completely move everything indoors because of the rain. I was able to enjoy our guests without worrying about food or drinks, and that to me is a huge success! I would definitely recommend her and would use her again.

My husband has been in Japan for two years now unable to travel home due to quarantine restrictions. I came across Catherine's Catering late one night not being able to sleep. I am glad I discovered her business!! I eat healthier and save more money oppose to the store as it is just me. She can make anything. I requested lasagna and beef and noodles a favorite missing from home. She delivered perfectly! Catherine takes pride in all she makes she is truly one of a kind. Job well done Catherine.. We just ate the Valentine’s meal and it was delicious. I couldn’t believe how moist the chicken was and it sure was tasty. The sides were yummy as well. I am saving the cupcakes for later but I am sure they will be just as good. Really looking forward to another special occasion so we can order from her again. I highly recommend this business.

I’ve been receiving a couple meals a week from Catherine’s Catering since the new year. Her food is always incredible.. literally every single thing! It’s been so helpful while my husband is deployed to just heat up a delicious, healthy meal. I look forward to her menu every week! I have to point out the veggie lasagna in particular...one of my favorite meals of all time. Absolutely delightful!

Awesome experience with Catherine’s catering for my Daughter’s wedding 10-17-20! The food was delicious and plentiful.We received many compliments on the taste of the food as well as the the presentation.The servers and kitchen staff were pleasant,efficient and attentive to all the guests especially the elderly guests that needed a little TLC. The cost was very reasonable in comparison to several other area caterers we received quotes from, all in all very pleased with all aspects of service !

I ordered from Catherine’s Catering for Mother’s Day and my inlaws loved their food so I tried to place an order for our wedding anniversary. There was a miscommunication and things didn’t go as planned and I ended up ordering somewhere else. A few weeks after, I received a message from them apologizing for the miscommunication and they offered… free meals to me and my husband as a belated anniversary treat. They didn’t have to, but they delivered the meals, not once but twice free of charge! The nice gesture meant alot and they gained alot of my respect for trying

Catherine recently catered at my home for my daughter's pre-Ring Dance meal with 26 friends. The food was wonderful and absolutely perfect for our event - it arrived early with everything we needed. It was so much easier than trying to find a local restaurant and well within our budget! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Catherine for an event.

I contacted Catherine to cater our company's anniversary party. She was quick to reply and ask the right questions to put together a sample menu for our needs. After comparing a few other companies in the area, we settled on Catherine's and I'm glad we did. Not only was the pricing competitive and the menu exactly what we were looking for, she definitely delivered on the day of the event. She and her staff arrived early to set up, produced delicious food, and was happy to help out in way possible during the event. Catherine catered my son's wedding rehearsal dinner for 60 guests last Friday at a local brewery and it was outstanding! Catherine was accommodating, supportive and patient during the planning stages and helped us select a fantastic menu that appealed to all.
