Always a bunch of laughs, the team there is friendly and fast, and it's convenient you can order from Gino's or upstairs menus... Full bar, lots of laughs, it was a great night. You can sit towards the back if you don't want attention but it's a smaller size which leads to a better overall experience!

The food is from the menu of Gino's East, so it was surprisingly very good. I would recommend you get there early and order food/drinks before the show starts, because it's hard to get a hold of the servers once the comedians start talking and the lights are dimmed. Overall my group and I enjoyed the visit and the comedians, and would come back again!

Would not recommend this club. Six of us were in Dubuque for a weekend of relaxation. We decided to go to the club. Show started and the comic asked what time did you start drinking today. I answered his question. Sat back and watched the show. about 10 minutes in I got a tap on the shoulder and some lady said you need to leave. You are being disrespectful. I calmly got up, put my jacket on and whispered to the rest of my party that I was being kicked out. They asked WHY, I said I have no idea, but I just left. Tonight, was one of the worst experiences I had in Chicago in terms of hospitality, and I really should have taken the clues and went home. I have a place in the 60611-zip code, 0.3miles and a 6-minute walk to The Comedy Bar. I arrived early, 7PM for an 8PM show and considered that Thursday night might not be a majorly busy night, decided that I could go without a prepaid ticket. When I arrived the ticket booth told me they were sold out and considering the concerns Chicago had over Covid, there would be no sharing tables. Fantastic experience at The Comedy Bar last weekend! I made a mistake in the ticket ordering and the staff was patient as we figured out what had happened. They still fit our small group in and were able to accommodate us despite my error. Great seating setup, servers, and acts that made us laugh till we cried. An awesome option for a date night, birthday, or just a night on the town. We'll definitely be back!
Note: Tickets are one "per head". Two tickets = entry for two people! I found conflicting information online as some websites said one ticket = entry for a table (up to four people). HOWEVER

This place is hilarious! A little hidden gem right next to Ginoโs pizzeria. Very funny, high quality acts, super friendly staff, great local beer and food (the brownie is to die for). We came for an early show but stayed for the next one, too. Places like this make me wish I was local. Would come weekly. Thank you!

Came here for something to do on a Thursday night of a trip to Chicago. Atmosphere was awesome, staff was so friendly. The line up was pretty funny and entertaining. Acts werenโt on too long so it kept my attention longer. Only one act that wasnโt funny, but again not on long enough to make you want to leave. Show started at 8pm and there was an open mic after. Food was great... spinach and cheese mozzarella sticks were incredible!!

Okay, hands down.... best comedy club in the Midwest! I travel a lot for work and visit comedy clubs often. I have actually visited both of The Comedy Bar's other locations (literally didn't even know this one existed til I googled things to do in Dubuque) and I have to say this one is my favorite. It's located on the lower level of an industrial hotel and has a whole separate bar area to hang out for drinks before and after the show. The night we visited, Kristen Toomey headlined. She's from Chicago and I'm a Chicago-native so of course we loved her! Service was pretty

Upstairs is the Southern Ego restaurant, which had quite a line. You can also order food from them once you are seated. Knowing that now, we won't eat before going to the show next time.
There are two levels of seating. For a little more in the ticket price you have one if the few tables that are up against the stage.
Very small room, not a bad view in the place. Seating is super right with four chairs per table, arranged
