At Liberty we believe in taking care of our students and being flexible to their needs, whether they need extra time to complete assignments, bringing kids to school when they're having day care issues, or simple needs like food, toiletries, or diapers for their kids. We also believe in taking care of our community.
During our annual Thanksgiving food drive, or students provided meals for 20 families. Liberty High School is a unique high school serving students ages 16-21 who have been failed by traditional schools. We know that every student learns differently. Our approach is to understand what each student needs to succeed and help them chart a path to graduation.

We're all about graduation here at Liberty, . Our most important success indicator is the number of students we help earn their high school diploma. Last year, 29 of our students graduated and we are on pace to graduate 53 students this year. While our graduation rates and state test scores are important, our biggest successes are our students.
My name is Randy Smoot, I have the honor of being the Director at Liberty High School. My life has uniquely positioned me for this role, at this school, at this time. Growing up in the projects, raised by a phenomenal single parent, surrounded by both the love of a close net community and the risks of the street life, I quickly realized I either made the most of the limited opportunities provided for me or I needed to create my own.
As an independent nonprofit organization, Liberty High School is governed by a dedicated group of community leaders who put our students' needs first, provide fiduciary oversight of public funds, and ensure compliance with all policies required by the Ohio Department of Education. The Liberty High School Board will meet on the dates listed.
Thanks to our friends at Dayton YouthBuild, Liberty High School has been able to provide construction and health care certification courses since day one. They have also literally helped us build our school, involving our own construction students in renovating many of our classrooms. As a proud member of the Dayton community, we're honored to partner with the following community organizations.
Our partnership with Habitat for Humanity allows our construction students to get great real world experience on a job site. It also allows us to give back to our community by helping provide a new home to a family in need. You don't need a 4-year degree to get a good paying job. In fact, you only need a certificate or associate's degree for 70% of the jobs in our country.

Liberty High School has been life-changing. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that students' needs are met. They are professional and knowledgeable while also being realistic and down-to-earth. They make sure students feel respected and taken seriously, while giving everyone individual attention as well. We have been so impressed by how… much each staff member genuinely cares about empowering their students and supporting them in their personal lives too. The resources (such as job connections and training, counseling referrals, and food pantry offerings) they provide for students
