Services
A Campbell Salgado experience is a ticket into an historic 1908 Craftsman in the heart of the Sellwood neighborhood. This real 'Mom and Pop' shop houses the Campbell Salgado family on the upper two floors and the Campbell Salgado Studio on the bottom levels.
Lovely amenities abound including private waiting areas and photography studios, multi-media presentation rooms (think private screening room) and an ber charming outdoor portrait garden and even a kitchen to prepare a snack for your little ones.Since 2005 Kim and Francisco have been meticulously reconfiguring their back garden space to create lush gardens, beautiful backdrops and textures.

A week after your session we'll send you a gallery of the very best images from your session 24 hours prior to your Zoom appointment to select images that will decorate your home. Packages start at $700 and include a photo session and a credit towards your favorite package. There is nothing more thoughtful than a gift certificate for professional photography.
Our tradition of helping you plan for your photo session continues virtually. After booking we will connect with you over the phone or Zoom so we can advise you on clothes, backgrounds and product options. We will guide you through the process of selecting photos for your home or online social presence via Zoom with an online gallery, 7-10 days after your session.

The benefit of a life long professional has never been clearer to me than when I saw my son's recreation photos this morning. Kim has been photographing him since he was in my belly and this fall she recreated his 3 year old photos with his 17 year old senior photos. When I asked him if he wanted senior photos my shy boy said "only if we go back to Kim and only if she recreates the photos on the wall". It was easy to set up an appointment with Kim on the company website. I also reached out to her by phone a couple times and she was super helpful as I have not had professional pictures taken in a really long time. I needed a professional headshot and also wanted a more relaxed fun photo for myself. Kim has great attention to detail making sure everything looks good before taking the shot. The open air outdoor studio is fantastic and Kim made the experience very relaxing. The photos turned out great. Overall a great experience!

Kim is AMAZING. I absolutely loved the photos of my sweet babies! She was so patient and kind working with them. She didn't get frustrated with my very hyper 5 year old but instead used his funny personality to capture some of his best energy. These pictures truly reflect the way I see my kids. Our family has used Campbell Salgado Studio for all of our portraits. Kim brings an engaged artistic vision to each photo session and is able to capture natural authentic images. Best photographer in Portland for professional headshots. Kim just completed my second shoot -- because after having her do it once, no other photographer would suffice! I hate getting headshots done. I feel stiff, I never look natural ... except when chatting with Kim in her beautiful outdoor studio. She has a million backgrounds to choose from, and conversation flows so naturally, you'll never notice she is capturing the real you. And yes, I tried several other photographers over the years. Now I'm sticking with Kim! Highly, highly recommend her.

My parents 25th anniversary was coming up this year, and me and my brother decided to get our parents photos for the anniversary. My brother and I were very nervous about finding a photographer because it seemed a lot of photographers in the area were people who had picked up a camera last week and made a fancy website, and didn't actually have a lot of experience or abilit to compose a shot, have good lighting, etc.

I was in need of an updated professional head shot as my existing one was 5 years old. I reached out to Kim, and from start to finish, the process was extremely professional and the resulting photos made me quite happy. Kim created a COVID-safe, comfortable and lovely outdoor studio for the shots and took lots of time and care to help me relax and look more natural. I should start by saying that I really don't like getting my photos taken. It's so uncomfortable to look at myself in photos. I couldn't believe how comfortable Kim made the experience! She effortlessly drew out my personality, she helped me pick backgrounds, and made the whole experience so easy. We just finished our third photo session at Campbell Salgado (first was when our youngest was born, almost 15 years ago) and once again, everything from the sitting to the finished project was professional and outstanding! They not only captured some fantastic shots but managed to make it fun for my 4 very young kids years ago and now for my sullen teenagers. All 4 loved it! I cannot express how breathtaking it has been to see my family rendered in Kim's photography. We have done maternity, newborn, and now family sessions with her, and she is pure magic behind the lens. She was able to coax my pensive preschooler into a playful mood, she tamed our toddler, and she makes our family feel at ease. I'm delighted to see the results every time we have worked with her. Very professional environment. What brought us to this studio when there are hundreds of photographers in the Portland area is the uniqueness of the backgrounds and style of Kim. I wanted something different, not the same old year after year outdoor scene. The comfortable atmosphere helped put my camera shy kids at ease and made the whole session very pleasant instead of stressful.

I had a good planning session a few weeks before the session that created a smooth photo shoot. We fit in three different settings in a short amount of time and got many great shots from the shoot. The follow-up meeting to review the photos and pick which ones we wanted was helpful and not rushed; it let us get the perfect collection of images for the family.

Had a session with Kim a few weeks ago and could not be more pleased with the photos. She managed three babies like a pro and we're thrilled with the final product. We recently had family pictures with Kim at Campbell Salgado. My husband begrudgingly accepted this fate--he is not a fan of having to pose for family pictures. I knew the photos would be beautiful, from seeing their work in the past. The surprise for my husband was how relaxed the photo session was. Kim had a way of keeping things laid back and easy. Everything about working with the staff at Campbell Salgado Studio--from start to finish--was amazing. We'll definitely be back!

I have been searching for a great photographer and finally found Kim at Campbell Salgado Studio. She is amazing! I can't even begin to tell you how beautiful our pictures turned out. You know those babies that smile obligingly and frolic adorably when faced with a camera? My baby is not one of those babies. She's the other kind - the ones who somehow manage to make a horrible face right when the shutter clicks and who wail in misery two seconds after being posed in front of a backdrop. AND YET: Kim Campbell managed to not only get some AMAZING shots, she got so many I could barely narrow down my favorites!

I was recently photographed by Kim at Campbell Salgado Studio. First, I should say the studio space ("space" is an understatement) is amazing. The "studio" is actually a whole beautiful house-turned-studio, where each room has been turned in to a photography room with warm, painted backdrops (no vinyl pull-down fake backdrops). The space is comfortable and pleasant. I don't much like to be in front of the camera, but needed business portraits. Kim helped me relax and, in a very short time, found ways to make me laugh and smile by talking to me about the things I love

I have had photos taken at Campbell Salgado Studio four times. Once for my engagement photos with my husband, once during pregnancy, once with my family and again this Halloween at the fun benefit they put on to raise money for the Oregon Food Bank.
The photos from those sessions are our most treasured shots. They are artful, beautiful and really capture the essence of unique and important moments in my life.
