Crowns and bridges are used to restore and enhance teeth that are damaged, or to take the place of missing teeth. A crown, also referred to as a cap, is used to entirely cover a damaged tooth. A crown not only strengthens a tooth, but it can dramatically improve a tooth's appearance, shape, and alignment.
A dental cleaning is a professional cleaning you receive from a dentist or dental hygienist. Most simple cleanings or prophylaxis take only between 35 and 45 minutes. Cleanings should be performed every six months to prevent excessive plaque buildup for patients not at high risk for decay or periodontal disease.
The cosmetic dental work involved with getting implants is a two-step process. The first step is to have Dr. Cook insert the titanium screw into the jaw bone. This will serve as the tooth's "root." After the oral surgery, the area needs to heal for four to six months. During this time, the titanium fuses to the jawbone, anchoring it in a manner similar to a real tooth root.
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. There are two types of dentures available, including partial and complete dentures. Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain, while complete dentures are used to completely replace all teeth. Dentures are made to resemble your natural teeth so there should be no noticeable change to your appearance.

Dr Cook was fantastic. He fixed work that was done by my previous dentist. He also had to pull a tooth and do a bone graph. He wanted to make sure I wasn’t in pain at all, explained the procedure before hand and personally explained the aftercare. The office staff were wonderful, extremely polite and made me feel very welcome. I highly recommend the dentist is Santa Rosa Beach.

The entire staff is so enjoyable to be around. As soon as you walk through the door you feel welcomed. The clean office and dental room are impressive. The dental hygienist did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Cook was thorough with my examination. He examined my teeth and all areas in the head region that have a cause and effect to your overall dental health. Our family is thrilled to have found Cook Family Dentistry.

I have lived in Santa Rosa Beach close to 7 years, but did not have a dentist here. I would travel back to my dentist in a different state twice a year, knowing at some point I would need to find a good dentist in my new home town. Well sure enough I had an emergency and needed a local dentist pronto. After reading many reviews on dentists in the area, I decided to call Dr. Cook. Fortunately they had an appointment open up the next day! The care, concern and treatment I received was wonderful. Dr. Cook took plenty of time to determine the issue and make the best decision for the course of action
